Loki kept us guessing about who was pulling the strings of the Time Variance Authority right up until the finale, with it finally revealed that He Who Remains was the architect of the Sacred Timeline.
The Kang the Conqueror Variant had figured out how to create a singular timeline by "pruning" those that diverged from his master plan, He Who Remains successfully wrested control of reality and time...until Sylvie killed him. With that, the Multiverse was reborn and madness has since ensued.
The villain warned Loki and Sylvie that this meant his Variants would be unleashed upon the Multiverse, and we'll see the first of them in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania next year. Beyond that, we expect to see another Kang in Loki season 2, with all of this ultimately leading to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars a few years from now.
Talking to ComicBook.com this weekend, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige praised actor Jonathan Majors for what he brings to the table as the MCU's new big bad.
"It's really impressive what Jonathan Majors is able to do, and all the different incarnations, Variants, if you will, of Kang that we will see him do," the executive teased. "It's really pretty cool."
Of course, Loki revealed that Miss Minutes was secretly doing the bidding of He Who Remains and later set off with Judge Renslayer to reveal more about her master's history. Now, talking to Popverse, Tara Strong confirmed what we all expected when asked if she's begun recording lines for season 2. "I haven’t yet, but a spoiler – she’s in it! I know that."
When we spoke to Strong earlier this year, she said this about Miss Minutes' return. "I’m so excited. I love her so much [Laughs]. It’s been so much fun. It’s been the most treasured time and so magic and special," the actor told us. "I hope I get to be with them this season because they had actually already recorded the series with a guide track voice that was just subbing in when they didn’t know who it was going to be."
"It had already been filmed and I got to play off them because I got to watch it live off my screen, but they didn’t get to play off me. I think it might be a fun treat, I’m just saying, to fly me to London to be on set with everybody [Laughs]."
