Clark Gregg On Coulson's Return In AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D

Without giving too much away, the actor discusses Phil Coulson's return from the dead (and yes, he WAS dead!) for the upcoming Marvel tv series, Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Check out the video interview with Perri Nemiroff after the jump.

In the following interview, Gregg confirms that the original plan was always to kill off Agent Coulson in The Avengers. He was sad to see the character go, but felt that his death had meaning and was happy with the way he checked out. Because of this he was hesitant at first about bringing Coulson back for the S.H.I.E.L.D tv show, until he talked to Joss Whedon about it and saw how it could make sense. He also talks about how Coulsdon might have changed since his "resurrection", and whether his pals in The Avengers who mourned his passing will be made aware that he's back.

Will you be glad to see Coulson back? Or do you think he was better off left dead? Sound off below.
