We all know that filming on The Avengers is gonna commence from next month in Cleveland, OH. Well, the latest is that Marvel is setting it's sights on the NASA Plum Brook Station to film some scenes.
From the Sandusky Register (check the link at the end of the article):
The Space Power Facility at NASA Plum Brook Station, which has a vacuum chamber that can recreate the cold and airlessness of outer space, has been picked as one of the sites to film “The Avengers,” a star-studded movie being filmed in the Cleveland area.
Apparently contract negotiations are currently on between NASA & Marvel Studios to allow filming at the facility that is located at Sandusky, OH. If all goes as planned this shooting is also set to take place next month. Damn! August is certainly gonna be the month to watch out for loads of Avengers spy pics! :D
And I did a little digging up of my own (as I wanted to see how the NASA PBS facility looks, to be used as a location for the movie) & I came away impressed! Check out these 2 pics below for your viewing pleasure:
Doesn't this look friggin SWEET?!? Reminds me SO much of the CIA HQ in X-Men First Class! :D
And if you thought that was sweet then this pic will make you diabetic! LOL Just imagine how EPIC the scenes would be if filmed in this place!! I can just imagine a conversation between Stark & Fury at this site!
So wotchya think guys? If the PBS Station IS gonna be in The Avengers movie what do you think it could double up as?? For pic 1 I think it could be the ground HQ for SHIELD & pic 2 looks like it could be part of Stark's basement tech lab in his penthouse- you know, a place where the Quinjet could rest perhaps? Or it could be a lab for SHIELD too! Sound off your views below as always...
