His new film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, directed by Brad Bird is coming out in December, and with that, Coming Soon recently talked to Jeremy Renner about couple of his projects, including Marvel's The Avengers, what he thinks about Marvel Cinematic Universe and more.

"[I] was blessed to be a part of [the Marvel] universe," he continued, "because I love what Marvel did with something so fantastical and unrealistic, making it kind of plausible, like when they did "Iron Man". I just thought those were really great movies, the first one in particular... The character of Hawkeye was always cool. He's kind of a rogue, shadowy character. That's what attracted me to him. Then he's also a human being. He just has a high skill set, so they call him a superhero."

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Cobie Smulders, The Avengers is set to hit theatres on May 4, 2012!

@Marvel72 I hope so too. But I hope the main focus also goes on to Hulk too. If it was just those 4 in this movie I would've been happy. Glad we got Hawkeye to add to it

Looking forward to the movie but most likely IM will get most of the screen time because RDJ is pretty much the face that's going to market the movie for the GP.

@Minghagz Joss Whedon had already stated that our POV will mainly be from Steve Rogers because of the whole man-out-of-time story that has yet to be told. The reason RDJ was the focal point of the first trailer is because he's the most recognizable face of the MCU.

Anywho, I just hope this movie blows all of us comic dorks away with its possible awesomeness... and bodaciousness. =P

Wait dark and shadowy? What does he mean by that? I thought hawkeye was supposed to be like a funny wisecracking super hero? Still excited though....
