Jeremy Renner Weighs In On The Possibility Of A BLACK WIDOW/HAWKEYE Team-Up Movie

We know that Renner is keen on teaming up with Scarlett Johannson for a Black Widow/Hawkeye movie, and the actor has now weighed in on the possibility of it happening and why it "makes sense."

Comic book fans have been asking for a Black Widow movie for years now, and while Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has said he wants to make it happen, it still hasn't been announced. In fact, it doesn't look like it's any closer to happening now than it was this time last year, but one very important person who remains keen on the idea is Avengers: Infinity War star and Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner.

Asked in a recent interview for his thoughts on the possibility of a movie which would star both the archer and Scarlett Johannson's Natasha Romanoff, he replied: "I always thought it would make sense early on to do a Hawkeye/Widow movie because they’re quite similar. They don’t have powers, have high skill sets and have
history together. But I don’t think there are any discussions about that happening. I’d love to do it though." So, that's not exactly the most optimistic of updates then!

However, with a jam packed Phase 3 slate, it's hard to see where a Black Widow movie could fit. It would certainly make sense for Clint Barton to show up, but rather than it being a full on team-up, flashbacks depicting how the two met would arguably be a lot more interesting. What do you think?

At this point, I don't even care anymore. I'm getting burnt out on all the Super Hero movies to be honest.

@nickh0801 - I'd agree, but tbh we only get a few each year, the thing is that we know how many are coming out in the next few years, so it feels excessive.

The movie won't happen, but man it would have been cool. It would have been a very unique MCU movie like no other.

That woul've been cool, but I guess it too late now, maybe have Hawkeye appear in Ant-man 2? So we can have Dad bros?
