Although starting off as a bit of a rehash, the latest featurette for Marvel's The Avengers movie has offered a few new tidbits of behind-the-scenes footage. Including interviews with Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr. Chris Evans, and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, watch the MovieFone exclusive below.

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures “Marvel’s The Avengers”--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, & directed by Joss Whedon from a screenplay by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble on May 4, 2012. The film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In addition to "Marvel's The Avengers," Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013!; and “Thor 2” on November 15, 2013.

only 3 more weeks, here in the states!!!...

I can't wait to watch Ironman and Hulk tear some shit up!!..
I really hope Nick Fury is done justice in this...
I really [frick]in' hate Chris Evans as Cap, so he is an unimportant factor for me...
I'm still butt-hurt from Edward Norton not returning, so I hope we see the Hulk more than Bruce Banner in this...
Loki is gonna dominate like he did in Thor...
Thor looks like a little pansy with cut off sleeves...
Finally, Hawkeye needs more Purple damn it!!!...

can't f*ckin wait,a week left to the best comic book movie of the year.

@ nubase

& what reveiws may they be,i live in the uk & haven't read one because there is an embargo on them until i believe until 2.5.12 to prevent spoilers.

@Nubase- Liar!!! The only reviews they've released have been good ones! If they're are any bad reviews, they haven't been made public yet...

ps...you know your ass is going to see this in theaters

mstaley3000 - 4/19/2012, 1:34 PM
@Nubase - Oh well, if you claim that critics in the UK have given the movie thumbs down I will trust you and not read those reviews myself and will, like you just wait for......nah, I am not an idiot.

I have already read some UK reviews and they put the lie to you. Do you honestly believe that we aren't going to be on the look out for reviews from other countries that get the Avengers 1st. They all say the same things we have been hearing the US, that this is the movie of the year.

Have some Aussie reviews buddy, "Overall, The Avengers is a fist-pumping cause for celebration for comic-book hard-liners and action fans alike" or from MTV Australia "Packed full of action and humour, it is a standalone film anyone who enjoys great cinema can watch without having seen the rest of the Marvel films"

Peddle your rotten tripe elsewhere.

mstaley3000 - 4/19/2012, 1:37 PM
@marvel72 - The reviews are getting taken down almost as fast as they go up. I read one from Huffington Post UK this morning and went to quote it but all that's left now is a notice that it's gone.

mstaley3000 - 4/19/2012, 3:34 PM
@HonestAbe - Sorry buddy but we already know that IM2 is the minimum it would do. Criticwise it is already being reviewed as the best Marvel movie (remember when IM was the best?) and box office tracking has it as looking at a $150 million opening weekend. Now that Disney is doing the promotion I think it will do even better than IM2 & Dark Knight did with foreign receipts. This will be good news because a great showing outside of North America will strengthen the foreign receipts of the Thor and Cap sequels and will help get another Hulk movie made.
