Among other cast and crew members who have seen Marvel's The Avengers in its entirety, 'Loki' English actor Tom Hiddleston defines the film "monumental". Conducted during last night's Jameson Empire Awards, in which he snagged best male newcomer while Marvel's Thor film won Best Sci-Fi, check out the video below!

“It’s an incredible film. You have expectations once you shoot a film you think, ‘God everyone has pulled their weight, everyone has worked incredibly hard, it seemed like a really good experience, let’s just hope somehow in post-production it all comes together,’ and it has.”

“It’s definitely new because it’s a team of not one lonely hero, it’s a team of them. And it’s not an easy team, there’s a bunch of pretty alpha personalities in there. You know, too many cooks possibly, but hopefully I’m evil enough for them to overcome their differences and save the world.”

Courtesy of Sssora, you can now watch Hiddleston's acceptance speech at the Jameson Empire Awards, in which he's presented to by Captain America: The First Avenger 'Peggy Carter' actress Hayley Atwell!

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures “Marvel’s The Avengers”--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, & directed by Joss Whedon from a screenplay by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble on May 4, 2012. The film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In addition to "Marvel's The Avengers," Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013!; and “Thor 2” on November 15, 2013.

The premiere is April 11, 2012 at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, California so I would imagine we will know who the Aliens are almost a month before it is release to the great unwashed?

The Tom as Loki was the villian to beat for 2011, and likely 2012.

The Tom playing Bane is a midget with asthema, and nothing has been shown so far to indicate he will even be memorable. Not one damn thing.

I really dislike House music, so I never choose to listen to it. If I thought that Avengers or TDKR or whatever movie was going to be awful or if I just completely disliked it, then I would not bother reading any of the related articles.

However, both The Avengers and TDKR will be amazing. I am excited for both, although somewhat more for The Avengers because, well, it's The Avengers. :)

@Mothman this movie needs actual character development and dialogue. Not Pocahontas 2.0 with some impressive cgi, which is what he is most famous for.

Don't be so sure, WB are playing a waiting game which is to wait for the Avenger hype to pass before advertising the shit out of TDKR

You're posting about him in an unrelated thread 3 months before the movie. That might indicate that he'll be memorable. I think you're remembering him already lol. smdh

You always have to take anything an actor in a movie says before the movie comes out with a grain of salt, but my experience with these kinds of comments is that if actors hate the product, they don't trash the flick, they just refrain from making comment on the film, or they say very ambiguous things (I really liked the cast...the locations were cool...etc).

Jeez, some of you guys...

God forbid Hiddleston is praising the movie because he actually, y'know, LIKES IT.

That aside, I like this dude. He's obviously enjoying his newfound fame and doesn't seem to be letting it go to his head; he's cool and funny in every interview. You go, Tom.
