What Would Clark Gregg's Agent Coulson Look Like As 'The Vision'? Find Out Here!

A user named bhsfx on the Sculpture and Makeup Effects Forum has created this incredible sculpt of Clark Gregg as The Vision. It's not quite finished (they have yet to paint it) but could this be similar to what we MIGHT see in the planned sequel to Marvel's The Avengers?

Ever since he was killed off in Marvel's The Avengers (the sequel for which was recently confirmed for a May 1st, 2015 release), fans have been desperately thinking of ways that Clark Gregg's Agent Coulson could be brought back from the dead. Well, 'The Vision' is certainly one way to go! The talented artist responsible for this sculpt points out that the final painted version will not have pupils, and we'll be sure to bring you those images as soon as they become available. How would you like to see Clark Gregg brought back as 'The Vision' in the follow-up to The Avengers? Sound off with your thoughts below!

In some slightly more worrying news, a rumour that Vin Diesel (Fast Five) may be interested in or in talks for the role of 'The Vision' in The Avengers sequel have emerged after the actor used an image of the character as his profile picture on his official Facebook page. How exactly would you guys feel about THAT?!

As much as I liked him, Coulson should stay dead, otherwise the assembly of the Avengers would be based on a lie.

BTW the sculpture is pretty good. Looking forward to the painted version.

@marvel, it kind of already is based on a lie, at least the extra boost is:)

Bring on Vision.

@marvelstudios One of Coulson's trading cards being painted red by Nick Fury so Captain America could feel bad isn't a lie?

I don't see how the Vision has to be "emotionless". If he's based off of Coulson's brain wave patterns, I don't see how he wouldn't have his personality.

Now, that is awesome. I really hope they do make Coulson the Vision; it's not canon but this is the MCU!

It's a way to go. I personally think he should be both dead AND the vision. Let him play the Vision but he'd have less personality and be more robotic. And yet still have this love for humanity and wanting to save the world, plus he'd love all his cool gadgets.

Coulson becoming Vision is the lamest [frick]ing fanboy idea I've ever read - and that includes the time idiots around here wanted HHH as Thor.

I really hope Feige and Whedon ignore this stupid sentimentality. Characters die off. Keeping them dead means that the character's actions have real and serious consequences which can't be taken back. No one knows this better than Whedon (see Buffy and Serenity).

Not only would reviving Coulson as Vision be an utter bitch slap to the source material, it would truly make the Avengers the kid movie so many of its critics want us to believe it is.

@Dedpool - dead on. Coulson's personality is already a little robotic. He only shows emotions when he's around Cap (which could be a hilarious/touching moment if even as Vision you see a glimpse of humanity when he and Cap team up) I know it's not canon but it would be a stroke of genius if MCU did this. Ant-man makes vision, but then Fury steps in and suggests who to model it after.

Oh.. CBM did add the link, as usual actually. ok.

You know, i´ve read that Whedon has this "trend" to kill off a fan favourite character in his previous projects, but in THIS particular case, yeah the Vision´d be a great way to bring a must needed new character for Av2, and give Gregg more screentime again.

I highly doubt Coulson is dead to begin with especially after that little trading card move that Fury pulled. I have a feeling Coulson is somewhere with the Celloist that was continually mentioned in the movie.

Wait, wait, so let me see if I'm getting this right. Comic book fanboys are up in arms about the idea of bringing a character back from the dead?? HA! Good thing that's not happened in comic books to EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER WHO'S EVER DIED lol
Orphix
Orphix - 8/17/2012, 8:07 AM
I know that they do it all the time in the comics but I hope the MCU has the confidence and the courage to keep dead characters dead.

The best way to undermine any threat is using the cheapest of tricks and bring back dead characters.

Will Stane come back? Vanko? Yensin? Erskine? Laufey?? Is anyone safe from this plot contrivence????

It's Bobby Ewing all over again!!

Yes, we should revive Coulson because comic book movies should be EXACTLY like comic books. Ugh.

Did´nt Gregg signed for a multi-movie deal like everyone else? I mean at least after the first IM.

So..IM2, Thor, Avengers.. and then killed off?! Mmmhh...

@RamonSuarez: Agreed about your source material comment, BUT this is MCU, so if Marvel can´t ow won´t use the Scarlett Witch, there is no way to go the Comic book way.

Vision doesn't need to fall in love with and marry Scarlett Witch for his origin to be true to the source material.
