Anne Hathaway Confirms That She Is Catwoman & Not Simply Selina Kyle In TDKR

Not a huge surprise(for some anyway!), but In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Hathaway refers to herself as Catwoman for the first time. Check it out..

I realize this will come as no surprise to many, but you wouldn't believe the amount of people that were convinced that Chris Nolan had cast Hathaway as Selina Kyle only(as outlined in the official press release) and not her leather wearing alter ego. In this interview Hathway refers to herself(and indeed I believe this is the first time anyone associated with the movie has used the name) as Catwoman..



So there you go. Hathway will not simply be portraying Selina Kyle. Expect her to be suiting up and getting Batman's head all frazzled.

I guess Anne would have said Catwoman if she didn't read the script yet. Her character could be a love interest, or even a prostitute. The press release only said Selnia Kyle...
@partyhard: I agree that Anne Hathaway is miscast in a sexual likeness. She is not beautiful IMO. but I think Marion Cotillard was pretty hot in Inception. So was Carrie-Anne Moss in Memento.

Creature, c'mon dude, how many interview have we seen with Nolan and Hathaway in which they went out of their way to correct the interviewer when they said the word Catwoman?

"Uh, Selina Kyle yes..." etc.

It's all just an attempt to keep the fans guessing as long as possible. Anyone who thinks Nolan would use Kyle and not Catwoman is crazy!

Christopher Nolan really knows how to find talent.
She is one of the smartest and most dedicated actors out there.
The amount of research she does on each of her characters is unbelievable.
The best thing about Nolan's CBM's is that he actually casts good passionate actors that give it their all, instead of treating it like a fun mindless Superhero movie.

I think she'll do great as Selina Kyle/Catwoman.

TDKR is going to be my most anticipated film of 2012. Superman is pretty much tied with it though. The Amazing Spider-Man looks great as well. Should be a great time!

AWESOME! Let's see if she can top Michelle Pfeifer's Catwoman! That'll be tough. But I always liked Hathaway. Was a biiiig supporter of her as Lois Lane for the Superman reboot. But if she must be Catwoman I have the utmost faith in her ability to do so!

Oh come on she is way better looking then Katie and Maggie. On a scale of 1-10 Katie and Maggie are like a 2 and Ann is an 8. And some of you who say Hathaway is unattractive I have seen you say Natalie Portman is hot, no taste. Natalie Portman is maybe a 3 and has the body of a 12 year old boy. She does not come close to Hathaway.
