BAT-RANT PT I: Why The Bat Family Should Finally Be Introduced In Live Action BATMAN Films

In the first part of my official Batman rant, I discuss why I think the Bat Family should finally be included in live action Batman films.

Hi, I'm IndieKid, and I want to talk about the Bat Family. Basically, the Bat Family is Batman's core group of people in his life, like Alfred, Batgirl, and Robin. And I think they should stop being neglected in the live action Batman films...

Not counting the Joel Schumacher Batman films, the Bat Family hasn't been properly introduced to live action Batman. I understand that Frank Miller's brooding, Lone Wolf and Cub version of Batman has become the Batman we're most familiar with -- wait, he's not even a loner! He has Robin with him!

I want to see Dick Grayson and his complex relationship with Batman, then getting fed up with Batman's bullshit and deceit. I want to see Batgirl being guided by her father Jim Gordon, as well as Batman (but please don't make her romantically involved with Bruce). Also, I want to see the Bat Family connecting, and Bruce learning the value of family, much like in this year's The Lego Batman Movie and Logan.

Nice write up my friend, I checked out parts 2 and 3 (also great) but this easily could've been one article. Quality content, I just think it's a bit excessive to spread it over 3 articles.

The Bat-Family should DEFINITELY get introduced, with the DCEU having a somewhat older Batman, it's only logical to shine a light on the relationships he's had over the years. Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon and Jason Todd in particular.

Part of me is excited they've announced a NIGHTWING movie is in the works, but part of me is still skeptical I think it's vital he's established in the upcoming BATMAN film.

In regards to Barbara Gordon, I would've much preferred they announced a Birds of Prey film over a Gotham City Sirens one

Nice Idea for articles but have to agree with @MrMurdock they could have all been one.
Or maybe pad them out with a bit of history.

Would be nice to see more of the Bat Family, and more of Supermans supporting cast including Supergirl.

I NEED to see the Bat-Family on screen, at least so I can see Red Hood. I hope Toby Kebbell plays him. Good at playing characters seeking revenge and has a history with reeves.
