Empire has debuted a new image from the next original animated movie from Warner Bros., Batman And Harley Quinn, and exclusively revealed that The Big Bang Theory actress Melissa Rauch will provide the voice for Harley.

"I love that Harley is a badass and, beyond that, that she uses her humor as another weapon in her arsenal," Rauch told the mag. "She knows just how to diffuse a situation with her humor, and how to incite a situation with her sarcasm. It's a dream role."

The story will focus on Bats (Kevin Conroy) and Nightwing (Loren Lester) reluctantly teaming-up with Harley Quinn to attempt to stop a global catastrophe caused by Poison Ivy (Paget Brewster) and Jason Woodrue, AKA the Plant-Master.

Batman And Harley Quinn will be released this summer through digital download, Blu-ray and DVD.

That's actually a really good casting for her. Used to like BBT when it first started, then went to shit, but she was always great and looking back on it, she had a Harley like voice.

@Menks123 - Not really gonna be his choice. James Cameron gets the rights back in 2019, after that, it's totally up to him. It seems he's brought Tim Miller on to direct, i'm guessing they move on from Schwarzenegger...

I'm really looking forward to this with Timm involved.
Regardless of the disappointment of The Killing Joke, the DC Animated movies immediately got worse after Timm left, and when he came back for JL: Gods and Monsters the quality came back with him.

@BlackBeltJones - That's why it's my most anticipated DC Universe Animated movie of the year. Sad to say that, considering "The New Teen Titans: The Judas Contract" is one of my all time favorite Comic stories. But whatever. I am seriously looking forward to a spirit sequel to Harlequinade.

I wonder why they don't cast the live action actors for the animated productions and vice versa. I think it would help audiences identify the actor with the character.

@Forthas - Some live action actors SUCK at voice work.

I appreciate what people like Conroy and Strong bring. And Hamill isn't just a special talent who can act and voice act extremely well.

No offense, but I'd rather here Conroy's ICONIC smooth booming Batman voice, then Affleck's.

Interesting. When you see the Pixar and Disney animated films it seems like it is always A-list actors and actresses. My friend is an actress but she could not get any parts so she is trying voice acting.
