One of the darkest graphic novels put out by DC Comics has been the Alan Moore classic:  Batman: The Killing Joke.  Extremely successful for many reasons, including giving one of the best villains in history a background, fans have been saying for years they want to see the story adapted to film.  Well fans will get that wish, as at the JL: Gods & Monsters panel, Bruce Timm announced that it will be included for 2016!

That's right!  The story that includes Joker's background, Barbara Gordan's paralysis, and Batman strangling the Joker (supposedly...?) will be adapted by DC Animation Legend Bruce Timm!  That ought to be exciting news for fans everywhere!
Also announced for 2016 includes Batman: Bad Blood, which will feature Batwoman, and Justice League vs Titans.  It is unknown what the details of either story will be, but it may be assumed that Justice League vs Titans will be a sequel to Justice League: War and Justice League: Throne of Atlantis.

So are you excited for the new DC Animation line up?  Comment and leave your thoughts below!

This has been the one graphic novel that I've wanted DC Animated to tackle.

After this, I don't know what else I'd like to see...maybe Knightfall.

They had better not hold back!!! This comic is graphic so the film should do it justice.

I want this to be brutal. I want them to go all out, not like what they pulled with Red Hood. I was expecting Robin's death to be much more violent.

I still think Death in the Family warrants a movie. I still want to see:

Nightfall
Emerald Twilight
Kingdom Come
Red Son
Hell, even Crisis on Infinite Earths.

This is awesome news. I remember Mark Hamill saying if this ever would get made he'd come on to do the voice acting and so I hope that happens.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939

Death in the Family was partially adapted in Under the Red Hood, so I can't see them doing it again, especially since they did the sequel already...unless you meant Death of a Family, the new story line, which could come sooner rather than later

I would love to see Hush story line into an animated movie, that too art work by Jim lee!!

Yeah, they'll probably never do Death in the Family because of Red Hood but I feel like that movie didn't do Jason Todd's death scene justice, even though it was a great movie.

Hush and Long Halloween/Dark Victory would be sweet too. There's so many more stories that they could adapt, I feel like they're wasting their potential on the new 52 stories tbh.

Bringing back Mark Hamill is a must. If they don't do that then I would be very disappointed. I would be perfectly fine if Hamill retires from the Joker after this. Kevin Conroy is a must as well.
