Gotham is in great danger when the government assembles a group of villains — code named the Suicide Squad — and forces them to break into Arkham Asylum to retrieve top secret information stolen by the Riddler. Things take a turn for the worse when one of the Squad members (Harley Quinn) frees the Joker, who is intent on blowing up Arkham Asylum and Gotham City. Batman must use his super hero wits and strength to thwart the wicked plans of the Joker and the Suicide Squad.

Kevin Conroy voices Batman, and joins forces with several Hollywood greats to bring the legendary characters to life. Adding to the celebrity-laden cast is Neal McDonough as Deadshot, Troy Bake as Joker, Matthew Gray Gubler as Riddler, CCH Pounder as Amanda Waller, Greg Ellis as Captain Boomerang, and Giancarlo Esposito as Black Spider. Batman: Assault on Arkham is available now digitally and will debut on DVD and Blu-ray Combo Pack on August 12th.

This is the best Harley Queen costume in ages.
Though i don't like the character, i don't think that she has any depth and doesn't deserve her own series i like her in this movie, if they only toned down that annoying voice.

I liked the movie
I liked how it doesn't hold back on stuff, you can tell this movie isn't for kids.

I only wished the animation was the same as the video games though.

The movie was decent way better then War and Son of Batman which I found to be just bad movies all around. I still found naming this movie Batman was nothing more then a pure money grab because Batman really didn't have much of an impact on the story. Easily Batman could have been removed from the story and stretch out the real stars the Suicide Squad and the movie would have been no worse for wear. Personally the worst parts of the movie were kind of the unnecessary pandering to the Arkham video games with showing off Poison Ivy, Bane, and Two-Face for really no reason at all. Kind of to that point it was laughable some of the things that happen in Arkham like keeping in the evidence room live rpgs with the launchers themselves or that when Bane is released the Venom immediately goes back into him. No one decided that these things should be separated at all no one questioned the safety issues that could easily come up.

I really enjoyed this one. That being said i'm not sure DC animation will ever top Flashpoint.

To those complaining about the title having "Batman" in it.

If you're a parent, would you buy your kid a DVD titled "Suicide Squad" if you have no knowledge about comic books?

@GoldSleyer1

Did you watch the movie? The creators clearly did not mean for any children to watch the movie. Multiple near nudity scenes, sex scene, very sexual overtones throughout, multiple murders gruesome ones in fact, and very very violent. This was clearly meant for adults so don't be telling me this was meant to get little Jimmy's mommy and daddy to buy the movie for them. Because if it was this would be like DC putting the Incredibles cover over the Watchmen dvd. This was for the casual movie viewer who is cruising the dvd aisle and see's it says Batman and go they like Batman so why not buy it.

@Pesmerga
Im not going to debate who it was intended for.
but whats the difference between this and little jimmy's mommy and daddy buying him the latest call of duty or some other adult intended game?
kid is gonna get what he wants cause parents dont do parenting anymore.
Gaming companies know this, and im guessing movie companies know this as well.

The point is, parents are going to be less inclined towards buying a DVD movie for their kid, regardless of whats the content in it, if it has something like "Suicide" in it.

Sure War and SoB were bad, but the idea of people claiming that DC's animation line sucks is just laughable.

@Dark
I dont think they were bad, they just weren't great like their other animations.
My issues with those movies was wonder woman's dialogue and superman being a jock.

and for SoB, my main issue with that is Damian's age.
A 12 year old fighting Deathstroke and living to tell the story is unrealistic.
They could've at least made it where Damian became 18 and was now of age to become leader of the League of Assassins and it would've been a lot better.
