This movie is seven levels of stupid. But if you guys like it, I'm happy for you.

DC animated is falling off. This and War were bad. Arkham doesn't look any better.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: if you have to make your characters act stupid to make a scene (or story) work, than you've not done your job.

Yes, Robin is brash and acts first, asks questions later, but throwing Langstrom out the door was indicative of someone who's idiotic...not brash.

DC continues to do this in all their movies (mind you, I've not watched any since the last Batman/Superman team-up ani flick -- that level of stupid was just too much for me).

What immediately took me out of it, even BEFORE hearing Deathstroke speak, was seeing Ra's deflect machine gun fire with his sword. It's not a lightsaber, it's just ridiculous. And considering how he's completely surrounded but manages to get away... I was like: "you're not even trying."

Ubu runs like a bat out of hell from Damien, an eighty-pound (if that) little boy with a sword.... in public, through the streets, into traffic.

The writing and voice acting were definitely lacking.

"Can I drive?" "NO." "C'mon, I know how!" "NO."

Heh, this was probably my fav dialogue in the whole movie.

PS. Talia's hot. Don't look at me like that, I know she's animated.

How are you guys seeing it already?
Is it streaming or something?

Anway i have to agree that DC Animation is still 1000x better than Marvel Amination, but DC isnt as great as it used to be.

I hope they make another Justice League New Frontier or Under The Red Hood and knock it out of the park again.

I think the movie was good and entertaining. I had an issue with Damian being so young though, since some of the stuff he did seemed like a very adult batman (i.e. throwing a grown man through doors, going head to head with Deathstroke, etc)

I'd rate it 7.5/10

JL: War and SoB weren't bad IMO, but with these 2 being the kick starter movies to this new animated universe, they didn't get off on their best footing.

Hopefully they progress back to their means with their upcoming movies.

Not that great. Not bad but dc animation quality is failing. Voice acting and animation aside, the biggest thing that bugged me was damian. He solos deathstroke, I mean he is badass but not that badass. Then for no reason has a change of heart. It never seemed like he connected with Bruce on any level at that point.

Why would you Torrent/download when there are online "Watch now" videos?

this movie was definitely one of their worst animated movies. the voice acting left little to be desired. The story overall wasn't too bad, but it felt so crammed. they could've easily fleshed it out and made it longer. One thing I will say that was pretty awesome was how violent it was. They weren't afraid to push the envelope on how much damage they could cause to other people. Watching a child get stabbed in the arms was kinda over the top, but it worked.

Torrenting/Pirating/downloading wouldn't be much of an issue if comic book companies made a website where people can watch the stuff there for free or with a membership.

Sort of like netflix with a monthly subscription but for everything comicbook related.
It would range from Comic books, Animation, TV Shows, Movies, etc.

and a "free" version alternative (requiring an account) could be made where the website can generate money from ad revenue.

I hope WB sues the crap out of anyone torrenting because I want these movies to continue to be made. Too bad it was only $2500. It should be a lot more.

Torrenting and Pirating are the reason there arent more of these, the reason more companies dont do this and the reason these wont even be around much longer. Companies need to make money to be motivated to produce more. You cheap asses are killing the industry.

The decline in sales of DC animated movies is evident. Dont bitch when you dont get them anymore because you were too damn cheap to purchase a copy.

Problem with places like Netflix is that companies like WB dont own.
So they wont always have a say on whether or not something gets put in or not.
then im sure there's money agreements and what not. not to mention they dont have everything, and they dont have comic books.

If i were in their position, I'd make Digital comics available for members (either via free, or membership)
Im sure if they did make this, they could draw in more audiences and revenue than whatever they could make from putting only a portion of their products in netflix.

A big reason i never got super serious into comics is the fact that its an expensive hobby.
I personally dont mind sitting through a couple ads, I do it for the website where i watch the tv shows, movies, etc. But i'd much rather be supporting the company directly in a way where it doesn't lighten my wallet.

Dont blame that entirely on the consumers.

The comic industry should have gone Digital over a decade ago.
Many other companies have resorted to online memberships or ads in order to pull in revenue.
They could have made a ton more profits, and have their products getting a ton more exposure if they offered an online and/or free medium for people to try their product, while still getting paid.

You're also not taking into account the wave of young generations which watch stupid shows over well thought out, developed, and plotted shows like Young Justice and Green Lantern: TAS, or any of the DCAU shows (or AKA Timmverse).

Its a good thing marvel shows aren't good, otherwise the young kids wouldn't be watching them.

I think I heard a buddy of mine say he was disappointed with who Damian's mother turned out to be in this. I could be wrong though.
