Hidden atop a secret mountain stronghold lies the League of Shadows and its fearless leader, Ra’s al Ghul. Together with his equally dangerous daughter Talia, he oversees a trained army of assassins with plans for global domination. But an uprising from within the league now threatens to shift the balance of power and sends Talia and her young son, Damian, fleeing to Gotham City. With assassins on their trail, Talia seeks the protection of Batman, who, unbeknownst to him, is the boy’s father. With his son in tow, Batman wages war against the villain Deathstroke and the League of Shadows, all while teaching his headstrong boy that one can’t fight crime by becoming a criminal. With help from Gotham’s finest, including Commissioner Gordon and Nightwing, Batman will soon discover that his son and most trusted ally are one and the same!

The voice cast features Jason O'Mara as Batman/Bruce Wayne; Stuart Allan as Damian; Morena Baccarin as Talia; Giancarlo Esposito as Ra's Al Ghul; David McCallum Alfred Pennyworth; Xander Berkeley as Kirk Langstrom (aka Man-Bat); and Thomas Gibson will play Deathstroke. Son of Batman comes out May 6th, 2014 on DVD, Blu-ray and for digital download and will have its world premiere at WonderCon over Easter weekend in Anaheim, Calif.

I guess Flashpoint Paradox was DC's last good animated movie. JL:War was terrible and this looks to be bad as well.

Ugh that was horrible. And supposedly his will be an ongoing series, the new 52 designs and that batman voice. Yuck. The animation looks so cheap.

@doopie

Are you serious? He has joked countless times in the Timmverse as well as many many other forms of media including what is considered to be classic Batman. Not just once, not twice, but many many many times. Now he makes a joke and he is Spider-Man? Lmao unreal

pickleweasel2, agreed i recall an exchange between Superman and Batman in the Timm Superman series going something like, "you should have told me you were working in Meropolis", "Next time i'll send you my itineray". There is a precedent for Batman bringing levity to a situation. Not Spiderman like but his own way.

Animation looks great but I am seriously hating that Batman voice. I think they used him in JL war and it sucked just as bad. Its so monotone and boring. Why don't they just bring back Kevin Conroy who is 1000 times better?

One thing I already don't like about this...Little Robin beating Deathstroke??? That is ridiculous.

@doopie

Except that is not true at all.

"Then youre going to love me"

"wish I'd thought of that, oh wait I did"

"you overplayed your part yo"

etc. etc. etc.

Excited for this, but I'm still intrigued as to why they've chosen a new actor for Batman when Kevin Conroy could've easily done it. This guy really doesn't fit the role.

Anybody else really not like this new voice for Batman? It's awful. I don't mind the new 52 design so much but the voice actor is not Batman material.

Animation not bad just got an anime style feel to it.As for the guys bat voice it still needs work but after a few more movie and/or an ongoing series he may be able to improve upon it.After all even Conroy needed time to perfect his bat voice.
