Batman Begins Review by a brilliant up and coming reviewer.

It is a great movie but, do we really need a guy talking for 25 minutes about why we like it. Cut your reviews in half and maybe you would get somewhere. Again I am not a hater. I enjoy your reviews my friend, but they are far from perfect.

By the way calling yourself brilliant isn't a great way to get people to watch your review. We all love comic book movies, and while you take the time to review every single one (quite pretentiously I might add), it doesn't mean you know any more than us. Get over yourself and maybe you would have more viewers.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not Captain Logan. I'm simply promoting his video which I happen to love.

@squaremaster316, sorry man. I actually come across as a huge DB with those posts. I was pissed off at work last night when I posted those. Anyway, I like captain logans reviews. He is intelligent, and he is being ambitious. This is worth sharing for those who don't know that he exists.

Yeah, Batman Begins is better than TDK. BUT TDKR will exceed both.

Reasons why Batman Begins is weak and NOT in 24 minutes! This is coming from a guy who likes this movie alot. But I'm not going to polish every knob in this movie. It has problems folks:

-Katie Holmes. Seriously out of her depth. She's a clueless/choiceless actress. Like a little girl trick or treating around in Assistant DA clothes.

-"Rachel Dawes". Her character. It's one think to assign a marginal/bad actress to a role but another to assign her to a badly written role. All Dawes does in BB is run around spouting unsayable dialogue espousing the literal theme of the movie. She's just there to literally get stern on Bruce if he does ANYTHING. Yeah, Alfred also runs around saying Fortune Cookie dialogue too but Michael Caine could read the Articles of Confederation in casual conversation and you'd think he was just making small talk.

- Batman costume. Clunky, awkward. Mask is too tight around the mouth.

-Batman voice. Nuff said. Only got worse in TDK.

-Cillian Murphy. When one thinks of the Scarecrow, potentially the creepiest villain in DC comics one thinks... Cillian Murphy? That soft, eternally young American Apparel looking model? What a waste. He's a fine enough actor but he didn't creep me out at all. He just kind of strolled through the role, gave a utilitarian performance, grabbed the check and punched his timecard and went home.

- The action. Badly covered. Dark, shots too tight, cutting too random. Sequences not clever or new. Obviously Nolan was still getting his bearings being the first action film he'd really ever done.

-The villains. Lack of a real consistent specific central villain really hurts this movie. Too scattered and unspecified. One of your villains is friggin Cillian Murphy (sigh) and he's basically just some scrawny henchman who puts on the mask for a few seconds provided Nolan isn't ashamed of the genre he is operating in. Carmine Falcone commands alot of screen time and plot time which is a shame cause he is also just a henchman. And Rhas Al Ghul in the first half is either A) That asian dude who doesn't say anything. or B) The nice sagelike mentorly Liam Neeson who doesn't really do anything that villainous. In the second half of the movie Ras is back and is now for Liam Neeson but it's too little too late there are too many villains and we care about of them. Whores.

- The music. Its hard to live up to Danny Elfman's Batman score which had a tune you could whistle coming out of the theatre. This score was a bit more atmospheric and tuneless, almost as if it was afraid to just put its foot down and declare itself. I think of TDK though they were able to expound on the BB score and really punctuate and articulate what they had and amazingly were able to improve tenfold.

- Nolan. It's one thing to try to make a realistic Batman but I got the sense in BB that Nolan was equally guilty of just resenting the material and being somewhat embarassed by it. He didn't want to make it seem like a comic book movie but at the same time he couldn't seem to do that without giving off the vibe that he HATES comic book movies. That and he was a little out of his depth in a new genre. But TDK he had it on lockdown and seemed alot more comfortable.
