Hey Gang

I happened to come across this post by Mark Millar this morning which I found kind of interesting. Not only did he mention that he wanted Robin for the Batman reboot, but also check out who he wants for The Dark Knight, and Gordon.

Mark Millar posted this to fans on facebook

-I'd def put Robin in Batman reboot. Fassbender as Batman, Cranston as Gordon and Patrick MacNee or George Cole as Alfred...

... Actually, the more I think about it, Patrick MacNee MUST be Alfred in any Batman reboot. Also, ditch the leathers and daft voice. Get Batman mobile-

Now I don't know about you guys but that sounds kinda awesome. Although Fassbender is Magneto in FOX's X-Men IMO i think he would be an awesome replacement for Bale. Cranston also did a great job as Gordon in Year One, and I think if anyone could play Gordon it's him.Sound off with your comments below.

Sounds like some crap Michael Bay pulled out of his rear. Although, Millar is pretty much the Michael Bay of comics anyway.

Make a batman film to the style and tone of the Arkham games, and you have a real Batman movie. PLEASE let this be what the reboot will be like.

Robin needs to be seen for how awesome he is. People don't realize how different the comics version is from the Robin seen in the movies. I'm gonna call WB and asked to be cast right now.

Yeah I agree Robin would be a great addition to the Batman franchise, but the thing is which version. I like Dick Grayson but mainly as Nightwing. Tim Drake would be the best pick in my opinion.

I consider Dick Grayson to be one of the most subsatntial characters in comic book history. Dick Grayson is a prime example of great character development within comics. Dick Grayson has been able to come out of the shadows of Batman and establish himself as Nightwing. And he has become a fan favorie superhero and is the only one to truly deserve the mantle of taking over as Batman. In which he did and had a good run. So saying Robin is lame I have to disagree, each person who has don the Robin mantle has grown out to become their own persona and I find that to be great character development. I also think the same for Bucky Barnes and Roy Harper.

No Robin period. The character makes no sense in the DC universe and only exists because the comic book company forced him onto Bob Kane to encourage young readership.

I dont hate Robin per se I just dont see why a loner who feels guilty about seeing his parents murdered as a kid would take a kid and train him to fight criminals just the one that murdered his parents. Writers have come up with a slew of reasons for this over the years but in the end it just doesnt make sense.

As for Fassenbesser I can see him pull of a good Batman/ Bruce Wayne.

Cranston as Gordon is probably the best idea since Caine as Alfred.
Big Fassbender fan too, but not sure if he'd be the right fit for Bruce Wayne.

I like Fassbender, but not for Batman. Still unsure what they should do after TDKR. Definitely no origin story again. Would love a Batman Beyond storyline, but there are A LOT more great storylines and characters to explore before going in to that.
