POLL: Before Michael Keaton Returns In THE FLASH, Vote For Your Favorite Live-Action Batman Actor!

Batman remains one of the world's most iconic superheroes, but when it comes to how the hero has been portrayed in live-action, who stands out as your favourite? We're now giving you the chance to vote...

Batman remains one of the world's most popular superheroes and he's appeared on screen almost more times than we can count. That's a testament to how beloved the Caped Crusader is, of course, and while there are some fans who often express frustration about how much of the spotlight Bruce Wayne receives, it's often well-deserved!

Many actors have played the character over the years, with Lewis Wilson and Robert Lowery among the first to don the cape and cowl for serials in the 1940s.

However, it was Adam West who put Batman on the map on the big and small screens in the 1960s, with that campy tone still resonating with fans today. Decades later, things got serious when Michael Keaton was cast to play a much darker Dark Knight in Tim Burton's Batman and Batman Returns

The franchise later embraced the campiness of the 90s after Val Kilmer and George Clooney were cast in their respective projects, though the latter's effort - Batman and Robin - put this character on the shelf for years.

Filmmaker Christopher Nolan made things right with a grounded take on the hero that played out across The Dark Knight Trilogy courtesy of Christian Bale. Once he was done playing Batman, it was down to Ben Affleck - affectionately named "Batfleck" - to take Gotham City's avenging crusader down a more comic book-inspired route alongside Zack Snyder.

It was around this time Batman started making his presence felt on television again, with David Mazouz and Mikhail Mudrik sharing the screen in Gotham (the latter served as the teenager's body double). Game of Thrones star Iain Glen stepped in for a few cameo appearances in Titans, while the late, great Kevin Conroy made the leap from animation to live-action for a divisive Kingdom Come-inspired take on Batman in The CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths.

The latest actor to don wear the iconic costume on screen is Robert Pattinson, with another gritty take on the title hero coming our way last year in The Batman

It's an incredible group of actors, that's for sure, but now it's your turn to cast your vote and decide who is the best live-action Batman of all time!
