As work on The Batman Part II continues in Glasgow, Scotland, some major spoilers for the movie have just been revealed. This could be a huge moment in the sequel, so we'd suggest turning away now if you don't want to see what's to come in 2028.
Still here? Well, in the videos below, Alfred Pennyworth can be seen using CPR to resuscitate a handcuffed Bruce Wayne. The billionaire eventually wakes up, and the two have some back-and-forth banter as the scene continues.
It's unclear whether Andy Serkis and Robert Pattinson are on set, as these look like rehearsals for a shoot later today. That does appear to be Serkis, at least, meaning the focus may be on him in this sequence.
Clearly, Bruce runs afoul of someone powerful and is nearly killed in the process. He doesn't appear to be in costume as Batman here, suggesting someone is targeting him, not Gotham City's Dark Knight. That certainly sounds like something The Court of Owls would do.
2022's The Batman had to adhere to strict COVID protocols, but filmmaker Matt Reeves looks set to pull out all the stops with much bigger set pieces. We've already seen the Caped Crusader battling the GCPD in the Batmobile, and more reveals are sure to arrive in the coming weeks.
"It's amazing. It's a great script, it really is. And again, I'm not going to say anything whatsoever about it," Serkis previously said of the sequel. "And actually, the great thing is I'm going to be able to do it because we figured the schedule out, you know. So it's going to be tight, but we'll get there."
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script by him and Mattson Tomlin, The Batman Part II stars Robert Pattinson, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright, Charles Dance, Jayme Lawson, Gil Perez-Abraham, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree Henry.
The Batman Part II is set to be released in theaters on February 18, 2028.
