Could GAME OF THRONES Actor Kit Harington Be A Contender To Play THE BATMAN For Matt Reeves?

Could we actually see Jon Snow suit-up as The Dark Knight in Matt Reeves' The Batman? Well, it looks like Warner Bros. was at least considering the idea of casting Kit Harington in the role at one point...

It looks like Kit Harington, a.k.a. Jon Snow on HBO's Game of Thrones, might have been - and may still be - on Warner Bros.' radar to play Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves' upcoming Batman movie.

Revenge of the Fans has discovered that the studio requested digital mock-ups of the 31-year-old actor back in June to get an idea of how he'd look in the iconic cape 'n cowl.

Obviously this doesn't mean that he's still in contention for the role (it doesn't necessarily mean that he ever was, to be honest), but it does give us some idea of the type of actor WB and Reeves are looking to cast as The Dark Knight.

At 5’8, Kit is around the same height and build as Jake Gyllenhaal and Jack Huston, who have also been rumored as possibilities to take over from Ben Affleck in the past.

Assuming Harington is still in the running to play The Batman, how would you guys feel if he landed the part? Drop us a comment in the usual place.

He's got to play a gay character.

While I don’t see him as a “great” actor per se. I think he can definitely pull off a good Batman. Dunno how good his American accent is though.

@FishyZombie
I’ve seen ‘Silent Hill: Revelation’. His American accent isn’t good.

Idc what anyone says, or people bringing up Ledger and the backlash he got for The Joker casting....

This would be awful, and I like Kit.

Personally not Jon Snow unless he wants to play it as gay Batman but I'm sure the ladies will love it.

Cast him as Dick Grayson, who'll take over as Batmana after Affleck's Bruce Wayne is killed offscreen in the next Justice League movie.

@Peel - I think that could be smart. Have him carry the franchise a bit and then if they ever decide to bring Affleck back they could always write it to where he didn’t actually die. It’s been done many times over and over again. It could work

@DarkArrow19 -

Exactly, they could do something as easy as giving him an ambiguous death like the Dark Knight Rises ending where he 'dies' in a plane crash but no body is ever found and whilst he is gone, Dick Grayson takes over as Batman. If Affleck ever wanted to come back, he could do and take back over.

In the meantime, it'll allow Warner Bros. to make more Batman movies - which'll make them a lot of money - and also tell an alternative story to the Batman character with Dick Grayson instead which could mix things up.

Just pull the trigger on Hammer as Batman already. He is the only person who fits the height and build of the comics who can actually act.
