The Dark Knight Rises is easily one of the most anticipated films of all time, ever since The Dark Knight met both critical and commercial acclaim. Now the film is finally coming together with new information coming out, like the film being set eight years after The Dark Knight. We also know of many of the big players in the film, like newcomers Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, and that is not all.

Damn, I didn't expect it to be a video. I don't watch videos unless I have to, and videos hardly work on my laptop. Could you possibly either write a transcript or just write it up as a proper article?

Ra's Al Ghul will be resurrected in his entirety. I donno how, but Nolan will pull it out in a realistic fashion.

Oh btw, The Dark Knight was NOT overrated, it is one of the best movies of all time.

Was it actually stated that Bruce has been non-Batman for the past 8 years? I'm loving everything I'm hearing and I have complete faith in Nolan but why exactly did Batman quit? Doesn't seem like something he would do. Unless there was some other big event that happened right after Dark Knight that made him lose his faith like the death of Jason Todd or something, but obviously that didn't happen. I guess the prologue will explain that...either way I'm sure the film will be incredible.
Makes this line from the teaser seem more awesome, "What if he doesn't exist anymore..."

Just some constructive criticism from someone who does a bit of public speaking. You say "um" entirely too many times through this, and sometimes veer off into tangents that make it hard for listeners to follow.

Radio, or spoken entertainment in general is challenging because there is no visual stimuli, so I usually write down a basic idea of what I want to say in an outline ahead of time. Makes it much easier to stay on topic and sound cohesive.

Nice commentary though overall, always love hearing people talk about Batman.

PS - it's pronounced Raysh Al Ghul. Not Raas Al Ghul =P

@brazilianbatman: They're rebooting once Nolan leaves, another director isn't going to come in and continue the franchise... they're starting fresh again.

@brazilianbatman: Ummmmm....The eight year gap is official. Nolan told the magazine empire. It was in the magazine empire. If they quoted him on something he didn't say, he could sue.

if it is 8 years later then it is no wonder Bats gets the crap beat out of him since by then he would be far from in perfect physical condition .

What if Ra's al Ghul is just a unrevealed status?
Like the Pope who gives his ministry.. his duty to the next Pope. And the Lazarus Pit is just the myth.. to keep the legend about the immortal Ra's.

Setting TDKR 8 years later was a good call for keeping the story grounded in realism and I'm also guessing they thought it might be good for getting some distance from TDK, maybe to help avoid comparisons, especially Joker/Heath comparisons.

Nice video. Glad to hear Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow is coming back although I would have personally preferred to see Harvey/Two-Face return for an encore. He was easily one of my favorite characters in TDK. Wish he hadn't died.

I still don't understand why some people think that Bane is gonna be smaller than Batman? if you look at the recent pics from Empire magazine it looks like they used camera angles to make Tom Hardy look bigger and taller than Batman, and if you look at the pic of Bane holding Dent's photo take a good look at the boots Bane is wearing. Why would someone who's 5'10 wear a huge pare of boots like that? Im happy that Bane is gonna be a huge wrecking machine.I just hope that the fight scenes between him and Batman are well done, and PLEASE NOLAN! NO SHAKY CAM FIGHTS!! I actually wanna see what's going on.Shaky cam is terrible for anything.

@brazilianbatman: Even if a new director comes in the chances are they'll recast the entire film anyway so it will be the equivalent of a reboot, why try and continue in the Nolanverse without Nolan? Besides, actors age, unless they're starting out as a child, like the Harry Potter franchise, they can't keep making films for numerous years. Why do you think so many become trilogies?

I think they will have something epic happen in the 8 year gap. You can't have batman quit after the dark Knight then come back 8 years later with (I'm guessing here) a better batcave and batwing....right?

why don't we all just wait for the film to come out and quit guessing. because truth be told, all this guessing is not going to get us anywhere close to what Nolan has planned for us. and as well informed this guy is, we should stop listening to him and everyone else, be it people with real fact news or people with rumors. because all I've seen is people interpreting all these information into different things and getting upset by it.
i know its really hard but lets just wait and then make a decision and critique all we want.
