I don't think Maggie Gyllenhaal works for anybody.

I got an idea. Maggie Gyllenhaal for the Joker in the next instalment of Batman. This time the Joker has had a sex change gone horrible wrong and Bats needs to correct this or people WILL DIE!

BMP!

Does anyone else think it's time they gave Batman a little breather and focus on other characters? In the course of 10 years(1998-2008) Batman has starred in 6 separate series.

Batman:Gotham Knights(1997-1999)
Batman Beyond(1999-2001)
Justice League(2001-2004)
Justice League Unlimited(2004-2006)
The Batman(2004-2008)
Batman:The Brave and the Bold(2008-2011)

Since The Animated Series debuted 18 years ago, Batman has been on TV every year except for 1996.Now, he will also be a part of Young Justice, as well as a new animated series.

I actually like this show. It is what it is.

i like the show too... i don't think the lighter tone hurts the mythology. even my kids don't think of B&B as being the "real" Batman... they just think it's fun. i kind of agree.

as for miss Maggie... sigh. you know, Katie might not have been everyone's favorite actress, and she may have looked 17, but she IS nice to look at. maggie isn't hideous or anything, but she's no Katie Holmes. and you know, they could have gotten away with it more easily if Joker hadn't said that "hello, beautiful—and you ARE beautiful..." line at the fundraiser. it just drew attention to her not-so-beautiful-ness. she's not ugly, but she's not the kind of girl you'd say THAT to.

@AlternateNo4- I agree (on both the show and Maggie) to a degree, but I think B&B just depends on which iteration of Batman from the comics your looking at. He's had his share of down right silly adventures. All-in-all though I think it depends on if you have kids. It's a great introduction to the DC Universe.

Ah, but the Joker is insane!

LMAO @ Ed! Very good point, the Joker is nuts.

I also enjoy The Brave and the Bold. I think too many people look at some of these cartoons and expect a dark PG-13 type show that suits what they want to see. Most of these toons are geared for children. If some people could lighten up and enjoy it for what it is, they wouldn't create headaches for themselves stressing over what they think it should be.

Regarding the poll above... I voted Bale... only because Kevin Conroy was not on the list.

LOL who the hell voted Clooney?!?!?
Also to everyone in regards to the poll obviously by the names of the actors listed its for a LIVE ACTION verison of Batman. That is why voice actors are not on the list... Common sense peeps... use it.

I love Maggie. She was much much better than Katie. Maggie is a great actress and I do think she is very attractive in that indy smart chick way.

@weneedrevelation - The Superfriends came out in the '70s! That version of Batman was based on Adam West's take on the character from the 1960's TV show; West even voiced the character in the cartoon!
