Phil Lord and Chris Miller have quite the packed schedule and they're busy, with their upcoming series Son of Zorn as well as The LEGO Movie 2, the Han Solo prequel film, and LEGO Ninjago.
Still, none of these are as anticipated as The LEGO Batman Movie and Lord and Miller are as thrilled about it as the fans are. In an interview with Collider, the duo was asked what eras and interpretations of Batman the film will draw inspiration from.
"There is no favoritism, and there are no limits." Lord responded, with Miller adding "Chris McKay, the director of the movie, is a real Batman aficionado and knows really arcane stuff that was only in one issue of the comic book in 1972, and that sort of thing." Miller wasn't kidding, and Lord game an example.
"And he has a very large Catwoman tattoo on his forearm."
With such a reservoir of knowledge at the helm, it's no wonder that The LEGO Batman Movie will be full of fan service and easter eggs throughout history of the Caped Crusander.
"So, it is chock full of stuff for Batman aficionados. It is just a 90-minute Easter egg." said Miller, with Lord adding "And it heavily honors the comics. So, it covers all the way through to Batman v Superman."
So it seems like the Feature Film of Lego Batman will have tons of Easter-Egg, and it'd be sweet if Lego versions of some Popular Batmen (Such as Adam West, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, etc.) make an appearance in the film.
So what do you think ? What kind of Easter-Egg and Nods would you love to see in the upcoming film ?
