So that's what a person with their head up their ass looks like.

Lame wig too.

They shouldn't be hanging on Nolan's nutsack waiting for him to make a decision and instead put that shit on the back burner and get going with Green Lantern and Superman already.

Oh, and The Flash, god damn it. We want a movie about him.

Yeah! Gosh, Nolan doesn't rule the DC universe! They can't just wait for him to make his move. He's probably chilling somewhere in Tahiti sipping a marguarita. I agree with WeaponX (awesome sn btw) put it on the back burner because clearly Nolan is in no hurry (and I wouldn't be either if I was in his situation), and give fans the GL, Flash, and Superman flicks we want!

Gee, if it wasn't for Smallville and all the extra DC characters popping in each episode (Green Arrow, Aquaman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Supergirl, Doomsday, Black Canary, and coming soon Saturn Girl and Lightning Lad) i'd be pretty angry right now at the total lack of DC material out there.

Marvel is putting WB to shame, and they don't even seem to care, not even after TDK's success. Thank goodness for Smallville, that's all I can say. Even if it is a cheesy teen drama sometimes, at least it's SOMETHING!

Someone needs to tell WB to quit throwing the stinkin' S already and make the movies!

I'll second that, thank goodness for Smallville. I just wanna see the conclusion of the Doomsday fight already!!!

I think I agree with him on letting Nolan have all the time he wants to come up with the third Batman movie. I know we all thin that Nolan's fear regarding the third installment curse is stupid, but it does exist. Giving him all the time he wants does improve the chances of getting a third movie that is as good as the ones before it. I would however tell Nolan that if he wants time he better get on board with Justice League or he's out, more people want JL than BM3.

What happened to the Green Arrow movie? I thought that was already green lit and in pre-production?

Though I'm a diehard Marvel fan, I'm with WeaponX on this one. But BM3 on the back burner and get going with something else. I loved TDK and want Nolan to take his time and do what he wants with it (yet I still think he should suck it up and stop worrying about the 3 movie curse thing).

Thing people don't realise is that "Nolan" will direct a script. So... where's the script??? Goyer has said himself that NOTHING has been done meaning that he himself hasn't started working on it. I wouldn't be surprised if Nolan AND Goyer were in Bora Bora together sipping the same margarita, spooning over a job well done! Fact is that Goyer is working on the lame ass Magneto Origins movie and Nolan is waiting for him. Austin Powers, Star Wars, LOTR, Harry Potter, American Pie, Fast and the Furious, Rambo, Alien, Predator, Rocky, Die Hard, James Bond and countless others have all proven that the "third movie curse" is HORSESHIT!!! What makes a bad third movie is the idiots cutting corners and writing suckass scripts after making a kick ass sequel. The production team thinks that all of a sudden, because of the success of the first two, they can do what they want with the third one. When the [frick] do we justify putting "the fault" on a curse and not on the idiots that actually produced the movie!!! If Burton had done the third Batman movie, it would've ROCKED!!! But nooooo, they gave it to "Schumaker" and instead of keeping the "winning" recepy, he tried to make a "modern" movie out of the "stupid Allan West tv show". And as i always said, WB/DC don't have any balls and now they want to wait for their "mommy" Nolan. Beautifull!!! Bang up job guys, bravo.

The problem with the current "3rd movie curse" is, as Shaman says, the studios. They have it in their head that they must massively outdo the previous movie. With X3 and SM3 they were too concerned with jamming so much in such a short time and that's what killed it. The idea that if you went big you need to go absolutely massive the next time out. Which is wrong. What would curb this curse bullshit is proper storytelling.

Continuing the tale while introducing a new element and refining the loose ends of the previous film. X-Men and X2 had a good rhythm, then X3 came out and it ruined the flow of the previous two by adding too much. The same with SM3, they added so much then tripped on their own shit. The idea of a "drip-drip-drip" rhythm to enhancing the character's story and their progression in the trilogy is the proper way to go. Both "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" have done this all Nolan needs to do is continue to keep a flow that's not broken and not be concerned with merely dazzling the audience with the current "drip-drip-Splash!" mentality that's going on.

If people want the same feel of the previous two, they will have to wait on Nolan. But in the meantime, they have other heroes. We'll wait for Nolan to sit around and pick his ass but how about getting a move on Warner Bros. with every other available project sitting on your desk you shitheads.

3rd movie curse? No such thing, only a greedy studio curse.

EXTREMELY WELL PUT WeaponX!!! The studios see a "curse" when what they should see is " bad overblowing the 3rd movie history" and not to repeat it!

I concur with SHAMAN, as usual. Bravo WeaponX. Couldn't have said it better myself.

I'm a diehard DC fan and my opinion may be biased but I do believe that although Marvel may have DC beat in the number of movies released, it sure hasn't surpassed them in the overall quality of their movies. Batman Begins, TDK, V for Vendetta, Superman Returns, etc. with the exception of Catwoman have all been major blockbuster films not only successful but deep, sobering movies that manage to avert the corniness that many expect a comic book movie to exude. I must admit, I expected more from the Fantastic 4, the Hulk, Ghost Rider, the Spiderman films, and even Iron Man. (Don't get me wrong, Iron Man was good, but not mind boggling)

I agree with Weapon X they usually wanna end a trilogy with a big bang but a third movie is never good...but when it comes to a trilogy like LOTR or a massive story like Star Wars, it works because you can't put the whole story in one movie...

The Spiderman movies were excellent...it was only the third one that was slumming in comparison to 1 and 2

Honestly, I think this sucks. How crap like the Spirit gets made but we are still waitig for GL and the Flash is beyond me.

Shaman - 12/22/2008, 6:35 AM
First off, V for Vendetta should never be used as a reference for DC movies because it isn't part of the DCU. Almost any Vertigo comic made into a feature film will be better than any "heroes in tights" movies! And the fact that Nolan and Goyer struck gold twice doesn't excuse for a second all the shitty movies DC made of there characters! How you can like "Superman Returns" but shit on Ironman, now THAT's "beyond" me!!! Sure, let's give big blue; a kid, a shitty outfit, the same villain and an idiotic tie-in with "Superman 2"! It's going to be better than the best comic book adaptation ever made into a movie, not to mention the most technologically defined since T2 and the Matrix! Get real!!!

Hey Alan Horn!!! How about getting these DC movies made!!! Not just BATMAN & SMALLVILLE (tv)! Both cool but come on, there so much out there in the DC universe!!! As Warners is DC, why not have little cameos in some WARNER MOVIES, little hints, dont have to be TIGHTS, but names, places etc ; )
