Will The Dark Knight Rises "Occupy Wall Street"?

Word is that when Christopher Nolan moves production on his Batman threequel to New York at the end of the month he will be incorporating the Wall Street protests into the movie! Click for the details..

Occupy Wall Street is a movement that began 30 days ago in Lower Manhattan and has spread to many other cities. Hell it's spread to Ireland! If I want to go buy comics I currently have to navigate past "Occupy Dame Street". Anyway, the movement seeks to bring attention to banking deregulation, Wall Street bonuses and other practices that supporters say threaten the prospects of the working- and middle class. And director Christopher Nolan may be using this as a backdrop for scenes in TDKR.

From The LA Times..

Under its code name "Magnus Rex," the Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures production will arrive in the nation's biggest city for 14 days starting Oct. 29, according to a casting notice recently issued by producers. And, according to a person briefed on actors’ schedules who requested anonymity because production details were being kept confidential, cast members have been told the shoot could include scenes shot at the Occupy Wall Street protests.

.. While the person who’d been told of the plans said the protests could figure into the production, they said that doesn't mean they will be included in the storyline.

Basically should Nolan film there he wouldn't alter the script, but simply use the protest as a backdrop for something that already exists in the story. Details on what exactly is being shot in New York remains a mystery, of course. But according to the casting call, "interested actors should have "military and/or law enforcement training/experience, weapons training, and/or martial arts training."
