BOX OFFICE: BATMAN V SUPERMAN Still Going Strong, But Weekend Figures Will Be Telling

Because there's no competition out there yet it seems Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will come out on top again this weekend - but analysts are still expecting a pretty significant drop. That said, even a 60% drop will apparently give it a second week take of at least $66 million, pushing its domestic gross well over the $250 million mark.

Worldwide, the Man of Steel follow-up has already taken in over $530 million.

Whatever happens, there's no doubt BvS has an incredible first week - just lagging slightly behind Marvel's Iron Man 3 which grossed $212.4M in its first seven days.

Can Batman V Superman be the juggernaut Warner Bros. really needs it to be and continue to rake in the cash? Well, at this point it seems highly unlikely that it won't gross at least $1 billion... eventually.

@SuperCat - Not really, look at the drop the last Harry Potter had and that movie was a juggernaut. You can't expect it to be like Avatar where it rises the next [frick]ing week.

I want this franchise to be saved, I want it to turn a profit.

But I hope people in charge are taking a looooong look at the reviews and Cinemascore and and take some action to set things right.

I'm sorry fanboys, but Snyder has to go.
