Nobody saw this coming! Disney is killing it this year. The Jungle Book now has $329.7 million at the domestic box office, after beating Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's disappointing $328.8 million yesterday. This places Jon Favreau's live-action adaptation in the top 4 at this year's domestic box office, just behind Deadpool, Captain America: Civil War, and Zootopia. Box office experts say that The Jungle Book could finish with up to $370 million due to its massive box office legs. Not surprisingly, all of the top 4 films at the 2016 domestic box office have received acclaim from both critics and audiences.

Worldwide, the Disney flick currently stands at $861 million and is expected to pass the infamous Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice very soon. Box office experts also say that The Jungle Book could still hit $1 billion, do keep in mind that it has yet to open in South Korea and Japan.

It's been three descades since Bill Murray lost the Batman role, and now he's gotten his revenge.
