Over the past several weeks, professional movie scoopers have been warning of misinformation being leaked out from Warner Bros. in the hopes of finding their mole(s). Perhaps this latest rumor from Nuke The Fridge is just that. Or, perhaps it's real. Who knows.
According to our source, the “Training Day” actor is being considered for the role of Green Lantern John Stewart instead. If this proves to be true, Green Lantern will join an ever growing list of members from DC’s Justice League of America that also include Superman, Batman and Wonder Women.

What's interesting, is that Denzel was involved in another Batman Vs. Superman rumor just several weeks ago. Think McFly Think reported that Denzel was up for the role of Lex Luthor. If Denzel does sign on, he'll be joined by Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Zack Snyder's Batman Vs. Superman flies into theaters July 17, 2015.
