Kryptonite is the only way Batman can win. Since that was not introduced in MoS, I see the fight being somewhat of a draw. Bats has his armor to even the playing field but there is no definitive way for him to succeed.

In Man of Steel i can't really see Batman beating Superman. Superman is basically a god and most people think that Superman is un intelligent but Superman actually is smart but it all just depends on the writing and who the writers want to win between the two.

To be honest i'd rather just see Batman and Superman working together just like in the "World's Finest" comics. I really do love there friendship, it's almost as if there brothers.

Batman only wins cause Supes doesn't fight to win. In a real hands down fight to the death, Supes would win because Batman wouldn't get close enough to fight him, he would be vaporized.

@crawley actually Lex Luthor is the most intelligent human in the DC Universe, Batman is only the world's greatest detective & well, Superman out-smarts Lex everytime. The only reason Batman beats Superman is because the writers let him, especially Frank Miller who adds salt to the wound by making Superman a Government puppet.

Haha yeah pretty much...whichever character that the writers want to win, will most likely win. Everything else is pointless to debate.

But I'm really hoping Snyder takes a page out of the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes playbook. Probably a weird comparison, but it's actually pretty similar. Two opposing forces co-exist in an uneasy peace, circumstances drive them together, different agendas clash, both sides have heroes and villains, both sides are sympathetic, and we spend the entire movie dreading the inevitable fight between the two.

Make the audience actually like both Superman and Batman, get us to become unsure of who to root for, and we'll be that much more invested when they do fight.

I sometimes think about who would win in a fight, Hulk Hogan or Vinny Gambini.

Both are imaginary. Hulk wins a lot. But a flying punch to the face? I vote Vinny.

why the hell do we need a list of ways superman can defeat batman? surely there's no shortage of ideas? he's goddamn superman. start with his ability to drag batman into outer space and throw him into the sun. and before you say it: how he COULD beat him, not WOULD beat him. it would be more necessary to outline the ways batman can beat superman.

Well if Zack wants to make the film interesting and appeal to audiences, he'll have Batman defeat Superman. A man takes on a god. Of course everyone knows Superman could easily defeat Batman, but there's no enjoyment in that. There's no challenge. People want to see the man defeat the god, thats what will attract a large audience.

It's funny when people say "BATMAN IZ DA BEST BECAUSE HEZ SMARTER" but forget that one of Superman's powers is that he's super intelligent. Also Superman almost always beats Batman in the comics when they fight.
