Scoot McNairy Talks Cryptically About His BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Role
Jimmy Olsen? Metallo? We still don't know who critically acclaimed character actor Scoot McNairy is playing in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but he drops some cryptic teases here and weighs in on being part of "incredible visionary" director Zack Snyder's DC Cinematic Universe!
When Scoot McNairy was spotted on the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice wearing green socks in order to make some sort of changes to the lower half of his legs through the use of CGI in post production, speculation on who he might be playing began. Was it The Flash? Metallo? Someone wounded in the battle between Superman and General Zod? We still don't know, and the Halt and Catch Fire star refused to give any details away while talking to USA Today recently.
He did however described director Zack Snyder as "an incredible filmmaker and an incredible visionary," adding: "Playing in that world with comic books you’ve been readings since you were a kid, being someone in that world, it’s awesome." Could he give any clues as to who he's playing in the movie? Well, yes and no, but it certainly sounds like it will be a unique role for McNairy. "It’s definitely 100% a character I’ve never played and I can’t speak too freely on it, but yeah, getting into that thing was definitely something I had to wrap my head around emotionally in order to play that character. But with that being said, I had a lot of fun doing it when I was in the process of shooting on it — my head was in a different place but I’m really excited to see how it turns out and what they do with it and see the film." Who do you guys think he's playing in the movie?
