Though promotion has kicked up a notch, we still haven't had that many interviews with the cast of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice just yet, and even fewer with the director himself, Zack Snyder. Recently, Snyder spoke to Diane Madison from the Lowdon on Obsev about his upcoming film. He talks about his internet nickname, the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl contest, working with Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, what to expect from the film, trilogy rumors, and fan reaction to Ben Affleck's casting as the "Bat of Gotham".

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25th, 2016.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before. Starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, and Holly Hunter, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder, written by Chris Terrio from David S. Goyer's screenplay.

That's so fake. Who's talking about a BvS trilogy? How do you do it?

I just want there to be tons of creative ideal individuals who are consistently paving the way for where each DC flick should go next. They've got things mapped out but I really want to see the connectivity like crazy in these films.

I know, right? That's the perfect example of a mindless question.

Oh damn, my camera broke because I got Dorito dust in it. Oh the irony.

I listened to the Watchmen commentary to try to figure this guy out, and it's amazing how little he seems to actively delve into characters and themes. You get a bit of that here, where he's batting around terms like "drama" and "conflict" like a cat trying to get a mouse out of a hamster ball. He's just not... quite... able to work it out.

He's so visual and process driven that his mind is almost a complete mystery to me.

But hey, like I said about Whedon, people are human beings. They have strengths, weaknesses, and limits. If I was a studio executive, I would love this guy because he's going to deliver visually stunning trailers and he seems like a workhorse who will deliver a film on time. Those aren't the kinds of things I care about as a fan, but they are definitely assets, too.

agree, they should apply all those criticism specially to AOU!
man that movie was garbage.
Micheal Bay should have directed it, it would have at least looked visually stunning.

Snyder Rocks.

@JaredsJoker

I re-watched Watchmen the other day, and that movie doesn't get enough credit, imo. Watchmen is so underrated. There's so much good there, I can't even fathom how amazing Justice League 1 & 2 will be with Snyder at the helm and Terrio writing the script. Watchmen holds up too, crazy that it was released in 2009, I wonder what would happen if Watchmen was released today

Can't wait to see bald Lex, and fully spiked Doomsday. Not sure why people are nervous about the latter happening.

Haven't we all learned that whatever else he may or may not do, Snyder will always make the visuals amazing?

DC hasn't waited to long, they don't have a studio that solely devotes itself to comic book movies. They're taking their time and making sure things are perfect for what will no doubt be an epic cinematic universe.

WB's timing couldn't be more perfect, they are launching in arguably a comic book movie slump, they will bring something different to a genre that seems to be getting repetitive and stale. And I for one can't wait.
