BLACK ADAM Enlists YOUNG ROCK & ALIEN: COVENANT Star Uli Latukefu In A Key Mystery Role

It looks like Young Rock star Uli Latukefu is going from playing Dwayne Johnson on TV to starring opposite the legend himself in Warner Bros. and New Line's upcoming DC Comics adventure Black Adam!

After starring as a young Dwayne Johnson on NBC's Young Rock, it looks like Uli Latukefu (Young Rock; Alien: Covenant) will get a chance to act opposite Johnson himself ,as it's being reported that the Australian actor has joined the cast of Warner Bros. and New Line's upcoming DC Comics superhero adaptation, Black Adam, in a mystery role. 

The film will star Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson (Hobbs & ShawJungle CruiseRed Notice) in the lead, making his superhero movie debut as the titular antihero, and will also introduce the Justice Society of America in key supporting roles. 

Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle CruiseNon-StopThe Commuter) is directing with a screenplay from Rory Haines (InformerThe Mauritanian) and Sohrab Noshirvani (InformerThe Mauritanian). Adam Sztykiel (RampageDue DateScoob!) wrote the film's first draft.

In addition to Johnson, the cast will feature Noah Centineo (Charlie's AngelsMasters of the UniverseTo All the Boys I've Loved Before) as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge (Straight Outta ComptonThe Invisible ManJack Reacher: Never Go Back) as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell (EuphoriaTrinketsIn Treatment) as Cyclone, Sarah Shahi (AliasOld SchoolBullet to the Head) as an unnamed university professor, Marwan Kenzari (AladdinThe Old Guard; The Mummy) in an undisclosed villain role, James Cusati-Moyer (Prodigal SonUnbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) in an undisclosed role, Bodhi Sabongui (DC's Legends of TomorrowThe Main Event) in an undisclosed role, Mohammed Amer (Ramy; Americanish) in an undisclosed role, and 2x Golden Globe-nominee Pierce Brosnan (Tomorrow Never DiesThe World Is Not Enough; Die Another Day) as Doctor Fate.

Black Adam will arrive in theaters on July 29, 2022.
