BLACK ADAM Honest Trailer Spends Almost Seven Minutes Tearing The Movie A New One

The Screen Junkies crew have debuted their "Honest Trailer" for Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam, and no low-hanging fruit has been left untouched. To be fair, this is actually pretty funny...

"Stop! He's already dead" Simpsons GIFS at the ready.

It was probably only a matter of time before Screen Junkies gave Black Adam the "Honest Trailer" treatment, and this video spends almost seven minutes serving the critically-panned DC movie an unmerciful drubbing!

Everything from the dodgy CGI, Zack Snyder-style slo-mo, irritating supporting characters and by-the-numbers plot is taken to task here, and while it does feel a little like kicking a movie when it's down, there's no denying that this is one of the funnier efforts we've seen from these guys in quite a while.

As the trailer points out, a Black Adam sequel is looking unlikely - despite star Dwayne Johnson claiming otherwise. However you happen to feel about the movie, it would be a shame for at least some of these characters to be shelved, and there's still plenty of potential for the Man in Black vs. Shazam or Superman (both?) in the new DCU.

"From New Line Cinema, Dwayne Johnson stars in the action adventure Black Adam. The first-ever feature film to explore the story of the DC Super Hero comes to the big screen under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra (“Jungle Cruise”). Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods— and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world."

Johnson stars alongside Aldis Hodge (City on a Hill, One Night in Miami) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi (Sex/Life, Rush Hour 3) as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari (Murder on the Orient Express, The Mummy) as Ishmael, Quintessa Swindell (Voyagers, Trinkets) as Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui (A Million Little Things) as Amon, and Pierce Brosnan (the Mamma Mia! and James Bond franchises) as Dr. Fate.

Black Adam is now on VOD.
