As Black Adam nears the end of production, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has once again taken to Instagram to tease fans with what they can expect from the DC Comics adaptation.
"Minutes away from shooting a very cool cutting edge scene for our movie," he says in the Instagram post below. "My skilled make-up artist, Bjoern Rehbein is applying tiny white tracking dots to very specific areas of my body (legs included) so our Visual Effects team track and compute my muscle fibers intensely activating and moving while Black Adam is raging to seek [and] destroy his enemies."
"This is the final week of production and the hard work with my training, diet and conditioning has been relentless - hardest of my career because I’ve had to maintain this physical look for months and had to peak in my final week - but our collective goal is to raise the bar with Black Adam," Johnson continued. "To deliver the antihero you’ve been waiting for and you deserve."
This has to mean an official glimpse of Black Adam is right around the corner, and it would make perfect sense for Johnson - who has a massive following on social media - to debut a photo on Instagram. However, when it comes to a trailer, we're betting Warner Bros. will wait until this October's DC FanDome event before sharing the first look at this anti-hero in action.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, and Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz. Mo Amer, Marwan Kenzari, Bodhi Sabongui, James Cusati-Moyer, and Uli Latukefu all also have undisclosed roles in the movie.
Black Adam is set to be released in theaters on July 29, 2022.
