We know next to nothing about Warner Bros.' planned Shazam movie (including who will play the titular hero), but it has been confirmed that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be taking on the role of Black Adam -- a character fans have wanted him to play for years now. They probably teach him that he can channel lightning w/o Mjolnir. I think it's silly that he waits this long to perform this considering that he's been around for more than a millenia and also because he's known as the God of Thunder. It's still a cool gif though.

It sounds like their going to go all out for Ragnarok too, it sounds like that movie will be Epic and TWS of that phase....

I'm not holding my breath when it comes to Rangarok. I'm not a fan of the screen writers and it looks like Adam McKay may get the job to direct if the rumors are true. Plus, I doubt we'll see either Surtur or Midgard Serpent in this.

God, Surtur would be insane, I would love to see that.... Who knows though, I'm still wondering if we'll actually see Thanos and Death, or Mephisto, it looked like an interpretation of Death was in the "painting" in GOTG.... I'm hoping for good things though, trying to be optimistic, I want to see some crazy shit in Ragnarok

Seriously, why can't The Rock be Shazam/Captain Not Marvel/Whatever they end up calling him? Rock's a goofball with the body of a superhero. He's absolutely perfect. But Teth Adam is way out of his zone.

I think I'm on board with Daniel Cudmore playing Captain Marvel. Since we know he won't be in the next X-Men movie, let's get him into a franchise where he actually has some dialogue.

Joe Manganiello or Alan Ritchson should play Shazam/Captain Marvel, both can match the rock in muscle mass and height the rock is 6'4" Joe is 6'5" and Ritchson is 6'2"

This is the film that can restore my faith in DC's film division. Already off on a solid foot with casting the obvious choice for Black Adam. The Rock + Superhero film is a recipe that can hardly go wrong unless you try REALLY hard to screw it up.

Now please let Billy actually be Billy Batson, someone worthy of the power of SHAZAM and not that insufferable tool running around in the new 52.
