The first clip from Marvel and director Ryan Coogler's Black Panther has debuted on The Ellen Show, and if you weren't already hyped for the movie's premiere next month, you most certainly will be after watching this.
The exciting sneak peek features Shuri (Letitia Wright) chasing down some enemies of Wakanda while her brother T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) clings to the top of the car. After his armor begins taking too much fire, Panther makes a death-defying leap to the other vehicle right before it flips.
We've seen that final shot numerous times in the various trailers and TV spots at this stage, but it's nice to see some of the action that unfolds in the buildup.
Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.
Black Panther claws its way into theaters next month.
