Marvel Studios has announced today that they'll be partnering with Lexus for Black Panther. Apparently, the 2018 Lexus LC will be featured in the movie and X-Men writer Fabian Nicieza will be penning a comic book with cover art by Scott "Rahzzah" Wilson and Szymon Kudranski which is going to depict T'Challa taking down an unknown villain with the help of, er, a Lexus LC 500. As you do then!

"Marvel continuously captures audiences through charismatic characters and inspiring stories — the ideal fit for Lexus’ mission to craft amazing, engaging experiences," said Brian Bolain general manager, Lexus marketing. "And the LC’s aggressive styling, high performance and agile handling are a perfect fit for the Black Panther’s quick, cat-like reflexes and superhuman feats. We’re excited to see the duo in action." To be fair, based on the photo below, it does look like a pretty cool ride!

"This campaign clicked from the get-go," said Mindy Hamilton, Marvel’s senior vp global partnerships. "We have this bold, sophisticated hero stepping into the spotlight for the first time, and it’s been a blast to work with the Lexus team to build out a story that’ll familiarize fans with T’Challa as well as his advanced home nation of Wakanda." What do you guys think of this unexpected team-up?

Veteran writer Fabian Nicieza is penning a graphic novel in which the superhero will use the automaker's latest to thwart a villain.
