T'Chaka was murdered by Zemo in Captain America: Civil War, but we got to catch up with a younger version of the character in Black Panther's memorable opening sequence.
There, we saw the King of Wakanda confront his brother N'Jobu (Erik Killmonger's father) in Oakland, California, accusing him of assisting black-market arms dealer Ulysses Klaue with stealing Vibranium from Wakanda. It was a great scene, and featured a very different Black Panther costume.
While this design has been available as a Hot Toys and Marvel Legends action figure for quite a while now, it's been confirmed today that we're also getting a Funko Pop version...finally!
This Pop should look awesome displayed alongside T'Challa (who was, of course, played by the late Chadwick Boseman). Previous Funko Pops for Black Panther have covered all the bases with the rest of the movie's characters, so this is likely the last one we're getting until the sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is released next year.
In our 2018 review of Black Panther, we concluded by saying, "Black Panther is one of Marvel's best movies to date, and Ryan Coogler has delivered something which is going to have a lasting impact not only on comic book fans, but an entire generation. Wakanda Forever!"
