Let's get this out of the way, Black Panther has one of the best blockbuster soundtracks of the decade. Ludwig Göransson's vibrant and poignan score is unlike anything else in the superhero landscpe. Göransson, who is a frequent callaborator of Ryan Coogler's, worked very hard to bring cultural authenticity to the work, which includes inspired percussion and vocalwork. It is no surprise that Marvel and Göransson are coming back for a victory lap, with the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Remixed, hitting services this morning.
The Black Panther: Wakanda Remixed EP takes several of the score's highlights and cues, reworking them through different producers in the hip hop industry. Dj Dahi, WondaGurl, Michael Uzowuru and Jeff Kleinman, who have worked with everyone from Kanye to Drake, all lend a hand to rework Wakanda's finest sounds.
