"The world needed a hero. It got Black Adam."

Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson has been teasing tomorrow's trailer by sharing behind-the-scenes photos and promo art to social media, and the Red Notice actor has now released the first theatrical poster for the upcoming DC Comics movie.

The one-sheet gives us another look at Johnson's Man in Black, but we'll have to wait until tomorrow to see Justice Society members Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell), and Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo) in action.

Reshoots have been taking place over the past few weeks, and Johnson also confirmed that production has finally wrapped with an earlier Tweet.

Jungle Cruise director Jaume Collet-Serra is set to helm Black Adam, which has Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions on board as producers along with Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo. Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani penned the screenplay, which is based off an early story draft from Adam Sztykiel.

Black Adam will blast into theaters on October 21, after originally being scheduled for release on July 29.

@tmp3 - Right? Love the poster, but a 5th grader had to have come up with that tagline. Would've preferred it just said nothing

@KWilly - Hey hey hey, take it easy on the 5th graders. For God's sake, they're just children man! Why would you wish that upon them? Why, damn it, why?!?

The tagline is so bad it makes "it's morbin' time" sound like a better one.

I have 0 hype for this movie, ZERO.
Slightly curious about Pierce Brosnan as Dr Fate, but I dont give two shits about the rest, and the fact they are using this to set up the JSA gives me BvS flashbacks...
Will check it out when it comes out on HBO Max.

Wait. No “hierarchy” one liners from Rock ‘The Dwayne’ Johnson? I don’t know whether I should be pleased or disappointed 🤔

Edit: damn it. Spoke too soon.

"The world needed a hero...instead, it got him", boom, that is so much better. It's redundant to have the name of the main character and main title of the movie on your tagline.

How many people read that tag line and let it slide and why were all of them The Rock?

Also what a shitty tagline. Makes it sound like black adam is a doofus in this hilarious comedy

The tagline would have worked in 2008.

But we already got to many heroes already. Plus BA is supposed to be a villain.
