Does Marvel have the rights to this franchise? If so it would be cool if this was added to the current movie-verse.

I don't get that interview what the hell does a multi-racial cast have to do with the problems in Blade Trinity? That one sucked for a whole host of reasons.. it's almost like he just showed up with no idea what the hell the movie was even going to be about. The mood was all off.. they went in the completely wrong direction.. trying to set up a Nightstalkers movie was a bad move.. it didn't pan out.. I enjoyed the Jessica Biel eyecandy but she shouldn't have had such a major roll. Whistlers daughter come to join the family business how freakin lame.. I don't even want to talk about Ryan Reynolds.. terrible.. Blade's not a comedy.. I think that's why he felt like Wesley didn't like him.. because there was no place for his character in the movie. Let's hope they go back to the first two for the fourth film.. Trinity Sucked!!

The first two were great but dont even get me started on how awful the third one was...proof that the majority of wrestlers should never act, lol! I wouldnt mind seeing Snipes come back as Blade but he may be a little old now. :P

@ANight2Embrace-I think New Line Cinema still has the rights to Blade.

@LEEE- I agree, and he should definitely play Morbius.

@justme6- I have the BLADE Trilogy on dvd, ALL THREE movies were RATED R.

Scorpio-Blade Trinity did not suck; it had it's problems but it didn't suck. Jessica Biel kicked ass and Ryan Reynolds did a good job as well although some of his jokes were a little annoying at times.

@grif- Why would Cheadle be thinking that, considering there's no real effort to make a new Blade movie yet?...Not to mention Iron Man 2 comes out this year. Also, Cheadle is probably a fan of the Blade Trilogy...did you ever think of that genius?

@Josh- The third one wasn't horrible.

@BigMas- I agree.

Weslep Snipes is offically the blackest man alive, Samuel Jackson and Morgan Freeman are coming in a close tied second ;D

i would like to see a Blade 4 but they would need to do it more like the first film, a bit more underground and urban..it was a lot cooler like that

ChristopherM - 3/4/2010, 3:29 PM

New Line Cinema owns the Blade rights...the studio is now owned by Warner Bros.....so I'm not sure if WB is in much of a hurry to make a Marvel film

Morbius showed up in the original ending of the first Blade..Norrington was going to use Morbius as the villain in the second film
MovieMisfit
MovieMisfit - 3/4/2010, 3:33 PM
@Chris- Time Warner has owned New Line Cinema for YEARS. That didn't stop the first 3 Blade movies from being made.

he barely even participated in filming

I liked the Blade movies, except 3...that was garbage...he had a decent fight against the hybrid vampire dude in 2 then he stomped Dracula like he was nothing...made no sense...that along with Biel and even slightly Reynolds who basicaly played his Wade Wilson character there as well...I'm up for another "Good" Blade...
ChristopherM
ChristopherM - 3/4/2010, 4:00 PM
@TonyDark I have to disagree the 3rd movie was horrible zero quality put into direction...Goyer & Frank Miller should never get behind a camera ever again...both are writers and should stick to that...I'm still shocked Goyer was able to make more films after Trinity...all of which were just as bad

really Triple H was the best casting he could come up with? plus the vampire dogs were just ridiculous...granted Reynolds made a good Hannibal King but he should have had his own film...rather than playing a sidekick...

they should have waited for del Toro since he was interested in making the third film...

while Dracula was eventually going to make the films they didn't have to make him a dull shape shifting bruiser...it would have been decent to see him as the head of the vampire nation...expanding on some of the mythology maybe including Lilth...there wasn't any scale to the third film or the vampire underworld..besides the blood farm....I doubt the last of the vampires would be held up in Vancouver, very bad/cheap choices for location shots

I've always said Blade Trinity sucked because it did. Dammit if you're gonna have Blade and Dracula in the same film then its supposed to be much more ass-kickin goin on than what they gave us. Dracula takes off runnin down the frickin street...BULLSHIT! Goyer dropped the ball with that one big time. The next Blade film should rock hard!
jazzman
jazzman - 3/4/2010, 4:46 PM
@TonyDark and ChristopherM

Time Warner owned New Line in 1996 then Warner Bros owned New Line in February 28, 2008

so all 3 Blade movies (Blade 1998, Blade 2 2002, Blade: Trinity 2004) was only done by New Line before Time Warner made New Line to be absorbs by Warner Bros in 2008.

heres the whole article

Blade 3 sucked balls. I mean kill off all the vampires, how retarted. Notice how Cheadle and Snipes got cheeky about no vampires? They were subtle about that weak ass story in part3.

In the interveiw Wesley basically said a better understanding of the genre,and better action sequences is what we should expect if there will be a fourth.

And that is what Trinity was lacking. Better action and the directors point of veiw about the genre was lacking(damn Goyer and Miller!). The action felt to realistic as opposed to the high flying unreal action of the first two films. For example, a punch here a kick there no out of this world action for the genre.

Love it or hate it I feel the same way about the Dark Knight's action. Though it was a good story involved. These are comic characters for crying out loud suspend the audience in disbelief just a little. "My opinion is not the end all,be all but i'm just saying." Lol!!!

Would have been cooler if the Nightstalkers were more gritty and Morbius was introduced instead of rushing into that weak overused vampire...Dracula. Also, no killing off the vampires but darn it's too late. Wishful thinking.

@Chris- I have to admit; you've made some valid criticisms about Trinity. I agree that Dracula could have been done a hell of a lot better and Triple H should never have been in the movie.
Perhaps it did suck but for some reason I still liked it, and for all of it's flaws it still kicked ass.

@Jazz- Time WARNER is one conglomerate and they own Warner Bros. If Time WARNER still owns the rights; they can still make a new Blade movie.

@Kidd- The "realistic" action was NOT one of the flaws in Blade: Trinity. The action was the best part of the movie.

About "The Dark Knight"...the action sequences are supposed to be realistic considering the fact that Bruce Wayne/Batman doesn't have super powers.

@TonyDark

never said they wont make a Blade 4 movie just point out the ownership.

@KIDDSOUL

well basically yes lol.

whats funny is that the first two Blade movies Blade 1 and 2 was only produce by New Line. the failed Blade: Trinity was co-produce by Marvel Studios also it was the first time it had Marvel Studios logo at the beginning of the movie.
