Marvel may be one of the many film studios scaling back their presence at this years San Diego Comic Con, but just because there won't be a panel in Hall H, doesn't mean they don't still have something big planned. According to an exclusive report over at
The Hollywood Reporter,
Captain America: The First Avenger will be there in full force...as long as Chris Evans isn't too busy working on
The Avengers of course!
Well, there will be no panel, but Heat Vision has learned that, while details are still being worked out, Marvel and Paramount, which is distributing the film, are planning a military salute that would involving star Chris Evans and soldiers stationed in San Diego.
Evans would also attend the Con to do to signings at the Marvel booth.
Additionally, whispers suggest a special Con screening of the film.
One of the details needed to make all this happen is smoothing out Evans' schedule, so who knows how much of this will come to pass.

Captain America: The First Avenger will be released in 3D on July 22, later this year!
