Captain America: The First Avenger Set To Have A BIG Impact At Comic Con!

While we've already heard rumblings that Captain America will have a presence at the San Diego Comic Con, we now have a few more details including "a military salute" and special screening of the movie...

Marvel may be one of the many film studios scaling back their presence at this years San Diego Comic Con, but just because there won't be a panel in Hall H, doesn't mean they don't still have something big planned. According to an exclusive report over at The Hollywood Reporter, Captain America: The First Avenger will be there in full force...as long as Chris Evans isn't too busy working on The Avengers of course!

Well, there will be no panel, but Heat Vision has learned that, while details are still being worked out, Marvel and Paramount, which is distributing the film, are planning a military salute that would involving star Chris Evans and soldiers stationed in San Diego.

Evans would also attend the Con to do to signings at the Marvel booth.

Additionally, whispers suggest a special Con screening of the film.

One of the details needed to make all this happen is smoothing out Evans' schedule, so who knows how much of this will come to pass.

With an all star cast which includes Chris Evans as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky, Hugo Weaving as Red Skull, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Tommy Lee Jones as Col. Chester Phillips, Stanley Tucci as Abraham Erskine and Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, Captain America: The First Avenger will be released in 3D on July 22, later this year!

^^ butthurt DC troll detected (madking, of course). Thats because GL flopped, boy? Sorry, but that was bad for any true cbm fan!

Btw, how cool would it be to see evans in full costume at the comicon?

Ummm... yeah, keep judging the film before it's released. Smart idea. Judging books by their covers is always the way to go!

Aklash @ wtf are you talking about? can someone not have an opinion of a film without getting harassed by trolls (yourself, of course) because their views don't match up with your own? grow up.
I personally think this movie is going to be the best Marvel film released so far!

Damn, I'm a soldier and just moved away from San Diego! Thanks Paramount for giving us Soldiers a screening on the 14th in Minneapolis!!!

For the record, "Soldier" is a term used only for those in the Army. There aren't many of those in San Diego. I think they meant Service Members, I'm sure ALL services will be welcomed to the screening ;)

@madking - are you expecting "Saving Ryan's Privates?". It's a CBM bro, you should know better. Also, if you don't keep your sense of humor in battle, you won't last long!

Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone's got 'em. Thank the men and women that are the inspiration for Cap, they gave you the right of Free Speech. I'll be willing to bet that I'll enjoy the hell outta this movie, that's all that matters to me.

@ALmighty - you really hoped for BofBros? It's a CBM! Hope is what boys are full of on prom night!

@SFCamerica

hell ya man, have you watched that show. who wouldnt want a serious captain america movie and have it gritty like that show. Who cares if its a comic book, you gotta think like Nolan. Your making a movie, just because its a comic doesnt mean you suddenly have to dumb it down or not take it seriously. When you think like that, you end up with Shitty movies like fantastic four or Punisher.

im sorry but all the previews have been so campy and cheesy n it jus aint lookin rite- "how do u feel?"..."Taller" - "Are u ready to do this?"..."Is it to late to go to the bathroom" - "Its not all about muscle"..."I still say he's short" - its lame and looks like a child version of Inglorious Basterds...instead of The Bear Jew, we get BUCKY!

@madking - you obviously know nothing about Captain America if you say shit like this...Or you're just trying to grab a troll badge for attention. What's the matter, Daddy not showing you enough attention?

@Almighty - dark and gritty/Nolan is not what fits Captain America.

@capcyclopsftw

maybe, i dont know much about captain, i am primarily a Superman fan. pretty new to comics, but i figured a war flick would be better suited in a gritty setting. Movie still looks like its gonna be good, i look forward to it.

@SFCamerica- Thanks for what you do bro it's legit and honorable. I'm sure you've heard that a lot but it has to be said.

And I don't know guys I think this will surprise you. Those campy catchy phrases obviously worked you remembered the trailer and film. You are going out of your way to talk about how dumb it is so far for those reasons but then say your going to see it. That's cheesey. That's idiotic, but I guess that's my opinion. Queso or no queso i'm still into it and i'm a HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE fan of Captain America. Always have been. The movie will definitely entertain that's all I need.

@SKGannbit - yeah, right. Like he isn't trollin cap and avengers every single marvel article we got. You'll never see me doing something like this.

Here's my opinion: if you don't have a clear point about something you shouldn't go bashing stuff outta arguments of "oh my god, batman's got bat ears, that's ridiculous! who could walk around dressed as a bat? Thats stupid, blablabla"

See how it sounds?
Thanks for reporting me, btw.
