I told you lot the guy would be too busy with all he's Supernatural an stuff he's doing, he's probably booked for the next 2 or 3 years with other stuff on top of that too!

I don't hate the guy, i like him, just not for CAP, plus i reckon he'd have the time to do guest spots or cameos as HAWKEYE , in not only AVENGERS but even in other MARVEL movies too!!!

If all these Ackle fans saw the big picture, they'd know he's got 50 times more chance to land the HAWKEYE role and to be honest knowing MARVEL they will pick someone that no ones thought of anyway. My original choice was an UNKNOWN actor, which would be a 100% best!! I picked LEWIS coz he was UNKNOWN to me anyway back then at the time. But an UNKNOWN is the way to go, whoever it may be, make CAP Fresh!!!!

But if their going A-LISTER route you know who it should be, some guy called SAM! ; D

But seriously, i do feel for the Ackle fans that want him as CAP. Hey theres still hope for everyone, remember!

But even if it isn't my picks or any other good ones, if they go the UNKNOWN ROUTE with a quality ACTOR that looks abit like Steve, i'll be more than happy with that!

Ackles is too young-looking to play the part. Captain America is the leader of the avengers, he's gotta order around Downey Jr.'s iron man, Ed Norton's hulk, and Chris Hemsworth's Thor. I just don't see ackles doing that. Someone older looking, with more acting experience, and physique. Jason Lewis wouldn't be a bad choice. Worthington would be god awful. The dude from human target wouldn't be that bad.

TOP 3 choices is =

1 = SAM WORTHINGTON (IF they want the HOT thing in HOLLYWOOD right now and a top actor)




2 = JASON LEWIS (IF they want a sort of ish UNKNOWN)




3 = LEO DICAPRIO (Yeah, but he's a decent actor nowadays lol, he could do it).

I like Sam Worthington for it also. He fits in that category of 'film actor' and 'rising star', (although I'm not exactly sure why) and he has the acting chops to face off against RDJ in Avengers. He could be a huge star by the time the film comes out, but if they get him early he'll be affordable. Never underestimate the importance of that...

I'm wondering if Ackles was hedging about it so as not to tick off his bosses at the CW. Ordinarily, an actor would say, "No, it's just a rumor, but if they offered it to me I would certainly be interested." But he made it sound like he couldn't even if they offered it to him, because he's too busy with his series. Sorry, but if he actually got an offer like that he'd FIND a way to get out of his contract if necessary.

Dammit!!! I think he was genuinely suprised about the rumours etc so I dont think that he was bluffing. I wonder if he was talking about the hype on this very site when he mentioned it being brought to his attention!?! :)

I still think that he's an excellent choice for Cap but in a way he was sorta right about them not picking a guy off the CW network...despite the fact that Supernatural is a brilliant TV show and Ackles is an excellent actor, the CW churn out so much shit (crap like Melrose Place, 90210, Smallville in the past few years) then it makes anyone involved with them look bad!

I still dont think that Marvel will go for a big name - this is an origin movie and Captain America was only in his very early twenties during WWII (and even now in the current MU I dont think he's too far over 30) so I cant see them picking a 40+ year old actor like Pitt or DiCaprio.
