What a 24 hours it's been! Not only have we learned that a number of Marvel characters will receive the spotlight in a series of TV shows on Disney's streaming service but we also got the first trailer for Captain Marvel! We've already broken down the biggest Easter Eggs and reveals and brought you 40 amazing screengrabs but now we're turning our attention to the best moments in GIF form.

You've no doubt watched the trailer countless times by this point but if you want to relive some key scenes or just watch them over and over again, you definitely need to check these out. And yes, don't worry, we've included multiple GIFs of Carol Danvers punching that elderly woman's teeth out because, let's face it, that has been the most controversial and talked about moment of this first teaser.

So, to check these GIFs out, all you guys have to do is click on the "View List" button down below.

The mohawk and the mask; it's a good time to be a comic book fan! Once upon a time, it would have been hard to imagine this making it to the big screen but Marvel can make anything work it seems.

This is something you may have missed the first time around but as Marvel looks to emphasise the fact that this movie revolves around a female superhero, it looks like #HERo will be the choice hashtag.

Hooray for slow-motion, badass walking! There's clearly something very suspicious about Carol being part of Starforce and many fans believe that she may have been brainwashed by the Kree Empire.

Brie Larson trained with real Air Force pilots for Captain Marvel and while her time in a cockpit will probably only be explored in flashbacks, it should be interesting to see that period of her life.

Marvel Studios has really mastered using visual effects to de-age actors and Samuel L. Jackson looks like he's stepped straight out of the '90s in this shot. Those sunglasses look pretty damn good on him!

Talking of sunglasses, Agent Coulson is no stranger to removing them in a stylish fashion and Clark Gregg has also been de-aged for the movie. Lee Pace will probably undergo the same treatment.

What a visual. Marvel needed a money shot for the trailer and while most of it was pretty grounded, this makes it clear that not only are we getting a cosmic adventure but the visuals will be off the chain.

Don't believe me about the visuals in Captain Marvel being something else? Well, just take a look at these GIFs! Marvel Studios clearly isn't pulling any punches or holding back on special effects costs.

As cool as that shot of Carol seemingly getting her powers is, seeing the hero in her comic book helmet is even better and you have to hope we'll also see the red, blue, and gold version of that too.

Surprisingly, this is one of the most talked about moments in the Captain Marvel trailer as many non-fans are baffled by the hero brutally attacking an elderly woman. Honestly, I think it's a cool visual!

In the comic books, Carol Danvers is obviously able to fly but many fans believe that she won't know the full extent of her powers when the movie begins, hence why she's making a leap of faith here.

Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the pager Nick Fury is using here is the exact same one we saw in Avengers: Infinity War minus the space gadgets which will help the former S.H.I.E.L.D. Director reach Carol.

What on Earth (or, well, Hala) is happening here? Either Carol has been captured by the Skrulls or the Kree or brainwashing her, something which would explain why she's lost some of her memories.

Can't even fathom how someone had the idea to have Carol punch an innocent looking smiling old lady with zero context in the general audience's first look at her, but the overall reaction has been so great I don't think it will be that big of an issue. Maybe Marvel were really shooting for the memes on that one, still a headscratcher tho.

Aside from that glorious mask, I'm still pretty surprised about how great the visuals look, both because it's still pretty early and because the directors don't really have much experience in this area. Not just the VFX either, the cinematography gives this a feel like the first THOR but with a greater eye for capturing character in the shot selection. Really digging how 'not'-Marvel the trailer feels, even tho I know a lot of that is just in the edit. Really makes this feel like a separate chapter and time than the late 2000s period we've been in for most of the MCU

@OmegaDaGrodd - careful of run on sentences. Also, I thought the trailer was amazing, it showed exactly what we need to see right now and I'm not even sure why people don't seem that excited for it, we know we're going to get two to three more trailers before it comes out and 18 TV spots. Marvel doesn't disappoint

Two gifs in a row with people removing their glasses in style. Fury, Coulson, it's a prerequisite for being a member of shield.

Damn Josh,

:P

Too bad the trailer dindu shit for me, but the news about a SW and Loki tv series rocked my f*cking world, THIS is how you break the internet, sorry Brie!

Holy crap, just stop Josh.

Like, this has to be the last one. If he somehow pulls another article based on that trailer out of his ass then there's obviously something wrong with rent or some shit. Not even in the joking manner that people have been teasing him about lately.

It legitimately looks like he's going under or something.

I like the trailer a lot upon rewatch but I do think it could have had a better punch and rhythm to it. It's not even weirdly cut or anything, and I don't think Brie's voiceover or acting is wooden aside from a strangely seemingly pitched voice.

The visuals look really cool and it seems there's a lot more work to be done in that regard still which is a great sign. The camera work and shot composition is stunning so far. It's giving me a really pleasant mix of the first Iron Man, Thor and Captain America movies. My favourite shot is the one where's in her air force jet that's seemingly in space

It seems Carol will have quite a different and interesting arc. Most MCU heroes become the hero they're meant to be at the end of the film by learning from events happening in their present. Carol it seems would be becoming the person she's supposed to be by learning about her life on Earth. I hope that's what it is anyway and it does seem that way.

Hoping for a much better trailer 2. But colour me excited nonetheless.

@BlindWedjat - When Captain Marvel was punching the Skrull Grandma remind me of Agent K shooting Jack Jeebs in the face in the first MIB. Also, notice the Independence Day influences in the trailer too.
