Clark Gregg Teases A Reunion Between Coulson & Nick Fury As He Arrives On The Set Of CAPTAIN MARVEL

After the announcement that Clark Gregg's Agent Coulson would be heading back to the big screen for Captain Marvel, the star has arrived on set and teases an exciting reunion. Hit the jump to check it out.

Marvel’s Captain Marvel will take place in the 90’s and as a recent announcement revealed, the film will be taking advantage of its setting by bringing back several characters and cast members. Among the list of cast members set to return, is Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Clark Gregg, who will be reprising his role as Agent Phil Coulson.

Along with Coulson, fans will also be seeing Sam Jackson return to the role of Nick Fury for the first time since Avengers: Age of Ultron — unless, of course, he makes a surprise appearance between now and then. Either way, it was pretty much a given that we’d see Coulson reunite with his former friend and director, and thanks to an Instagram post from Clark Gregg we can put any doubt to rest.

Though Gregg's post is far from revealing, it's still a fun post from the actor and hopefully signals a significant role for the two S.H.I.E.L.D. members, Also, with Gregg arriving on set to film the Marvel film, we may get lucky and end up seeing some set photos of Coulson in action.

@MotherGooseUPus - Yeah Gregg has done a fantastic job. It would be neat for him to come back in IW, but I have a feeling they are going to kill him off before the end of the season (only to bring him back in season 6 if it does get renewed; just my theory right now). More importantly though, more Chloe!!

@HeavyMetal4Life - yea i can see them killing him off...i hope they renew AoS as it keeps getting better, but you never know. If they did that, i wish he would come back for Avengers 4 or something...not sure what impact he would have but almost some motivation like in the first Avengers

Man, I chose the wrong week to start watching the Magicians. Just had a wisdom tooth pulled and it hurts to laugh/smile/gasp/talk, and just about everything Margo says has me wincing in pain...

Just finished the first season and it's definitely got its hooks in me. Why didn't someone tell me this was actually a pretty great show?

@Spock0Clock - Man, oh, man do I know the pain. Be lucky you didn't have a root canal, where the numbing needle wouldn't last past a couple minutes, so you had to keep getting the needle over and over for the entire hour-long procedure. Serious ouch.

@OptimusGrime - I really feel the show is finally hitting on most of its cylinders right now. I’ve liked it since the beginning, but for some it takes awhile. Especially if they are not familiar with the characters. Some of the writing these last couple episodes have been pretty bad. Let’s hope it picks up down the stretch.

@JustAChillDude - I’m not saying it’s unwatchable . The dialogue is a bit cheesy. 22 episodes is a long season. I know there is some filler in there, but they said they were treating this like the last season. I would think they would throw the kitchen sink at it.

Oh god. If in Avengers 4 they bring him back and, dunno, make him call Fitz-Simmons or something, maybe even a cameo from them, i would skyrocket to maximum excitement FOR NO REASON.

- "Coulson, is your team ready?"
- "Let me check... Fitz, are you there?"
* Quick scene of Fitz-simmons fiddling with some tech *
- "We are ready, sir."
- "Let's go."

Something like that, that would reconciliate everything. OHHHHH MAN.
