It's not that great, although I like what they've done with Cyclops. But just wait everything will change during/after Secret Wars.

That's about how I've been feeling for the past 10 years or so. ;)

Still can't believe Emma Frost is dead in the movies now....

Wanted to see more of her

@Doopie, yeah..x-men seem to not get back to status quo nearly as much as the other heroes do. Iron Man and Spiderman, etc, you can pick up and figure it out, but anytime I try with X-Men, it seems like A LOT has happened, and they're never going back.

@Kasady Well, she wasn't much of an Emma Frost :/

I know, but the Fox-Men never are good representations....

Still, would have liked to see more of her, she's got such history in the comics

That sounds like a cool idea, Cyclop was on a weird road and now just him and his brother living adventure? That would be nice, keep it simple.

@Kasady - "I know, but the Fox-Men never are good representations...."

Tell me about it. I mean, I liked Days of Future Past, all things considered, but I just could never get behind First Class. And Emma Frost was one of the reasons why.

I always give the Fox-men a chance, because you could never pull off a perfect translation from the comics to the movies. But some of the creative choices over the years have drained my enthusiasm a bit. Too much Wolverine (to be fair it's the same in the comics), little to no Cyclops, terrible Rogue, terrible Storm, too much Mystique recently, no Angel, no real taking advantage of the tons of great stories...

I'd like for FOX to start over after Age of Apocalypse. Really try to stick closer to the source material.

@Demiurge

True, but Wolverine isn't really Wolverine in the Fox-Men. I give Jackman credit for his dedication, but if all the X-Men are in a house together, Wolverine is the guy that smells funny and everyone is telling to take a shower, haha. I understand why they changed it, but it sucks that literally every movie apart from First Class is focussed on Wolvie.

Cyclops, Rogue, Storm, Colossus, etc, etc, so many bad interpretations.

And, I'm totally with you, the source material is so rich, I really want to see it followed closer and I want to see some costumes, haha. I can only imagine if Marvel had the rights, we could see even more crazy shit in the MCU....

Can't believe were getting Vision and Ultron in AOU, that movie looks insane

There's been a few food xmen stories here and there. For the most part it feels like axel Alonso is too focused on making money and skipping good stories. Sucks for us.

y'all are crazy. Uncanny X-Men has been AWESOME. @Havenless, yes Havok is still Axis evil. However, he was probably the least "inverted". Eva has been one of the BEST new X-Men in a long time. Uncanny X-Men annual this year was AMAZING!!!!! This and All New X-Men are awesome. I also read Nightcrawler and Amazing X-Men, but those are meh.... Uncanny has held true to the story ever since the events of AVX and it doesn't drop. I praise Marvel for giving us a true ongoing intense series that doesn't keep reverting in on itself.

Yeah Havok is still evil.
X-Men has really sucked lately, but if this big event leads us back to the beginning with Xavier and the original teenaged team, all is forgiven. After 6 decades, the continuity is just too complex and restrictive to write creative stories. Time to start over.

All this does is prove my point from the other thread about Marvel's villains. So now Havok & Cyclops are evil?? I'm good on that.

Thanks for showing everyone that you don't know anything about comics.

Wolverine has been dead for about 6 months or so. Also, Wolverine isn't on this team. This book is Cyclops' team.Aside from a few issues here and there, Wolverine wasn't a part of this series.

Funny that someone who doesn't read comics would complain about a character showing up on covers that you've never even seen. If you had seen them, you would know that Wolverine almost never showed up on these covers.

Lol. If you don't follow comics then you have no right to complain about them.

1st of all, I never said they wouldn't bring Wolverine back in some money grabbing event. They certainly would have....assuming the MU wasn't about to get rebooted. I'm sure that will happen before they bring back Wolvie.

2nd. Dont try to change the subject. Your comment was about Wolverine finally not showing up on this series' cover. Again, even before Wolverine died he wasn't in this book. This was Cyclops' team. Aside from a few guest appearances he was never in this book or on its covers. Uncanny X-Men is all Cyclops and his team of extremist X-Men. Wolverine wanted nothing to do with them.

Your comment just made you sound like a Wolverine hater even though you know nothing about this book.

But hey, i'll be the first to admit, i hated what Wolverine had become also. He was way more interesting in the 80's and 90's before his popularity really took off and they started watering him down for the kiddies and putting him in every book. But to totally boycot the character is a little crazy in my opinion. Especially since anyone that really follows and reads Marvel comics can tell you that when he is written correctly, he is still one of the best characters Marvel has. His appearances in X-Men comics had been pretty crappy for a while, but his own solo series and his mature line of books were solid gold, classic Wolverine at its finest....for the most part.
