I have been hearing good things about this event this will be a definite buy when the TPB comes out hopefully in time for next years Wonder-Con so I can buy at a discount. From what I have seen the only thing that has bugged me about this event was the unceremonious way they killed off Hawkeye and not much reaction from his friends and allies.

Also what is this 2, count them 2 covers, that is either all or almost all X-men characters and 2 members on the main team of this story are Mr. Fantastic and Cyclops. I thought Marvel completely got rid of these characters and were exiled to spite Fox. I mean isn't that what has been preached by people on this site that Marvel were being petty and spiteful against Fox so they got rid of the characters.

Not really enjoying this story, but i feel like I have to keep reading since it's one of those events that so obnoxiously disrupts everything.

Bring back the original Thor!!! Jane can used an AXE and call herself Beta Ray Jane, oh that name was taken?

Wait a minute, if Beta Ray has a Hammer then why isn't his name Thor?? Something is very fishy here and I'm going to get to the bottom of this mystery! ;)

Maybe Thor secret was he had a sex change and became Jane? Well that makes sense with the new Marvel.
Ah, I'm going to read the old stories they seemed interesting.

I find this series so freaking interesting.

What I want to know is why doom didn't tell the heroes what was happening? Was there just not much time left?

Secret wars has to get to the big screen one day. Take... my... MONEY.

Only thing is...who will be the substitute for doom in the MCU?

The reason Beta Ray Bill is not named Thor is because he does not wield Mjolnir his hammer is called Stormbreaker. Thunderstrike another man who has wielded Mjolnir before is not called Thor now because he does not wield Mjolnir he wields Thunderstrike. If they had Mjolnir then they would be called Thor but they don't at least not now.

Hmm good point, I was woundering when Odin gave Thor, Mjolnir He already had the name .

Even in Journey into Mystery and with the young Thor stories without the hammer his name was Thor.

Thor strove to become physically strong enough to wield the hammer, and was responsible for many heroic deeds. Finally, when Thor was sixteen, Odin sent him and his friends Balder and Sif on a quest to teach him what was truly required to wield Mjolnir which was a pure heart

Thor was Thor before the Hammer! In the new Marvel it's about changing long standing characters instead of creating new ones.

It's not bad, I read the original secret wars (have the books) and it was better but this not bad.
I will said the writers seem to be lazy with the Thor Corps and how Dr Strange would ever follow Doom.

Man you got to love people who insult others for liking something. I mean it isn't enough that you just don't like the story but you then have to insult those that do like it or even people who just read the story. Let me ask you is it comics in general that you don't like, Marvel as a company, or just this story because if it is the first option then my insulting friend you are on the wrong site.
