Okay, Groot has always been a gimmick character. Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning and James Gunn all knew how to use him. He'd say "I am Groot", Rocket would respond, the conversation would move on and other people would talk. It's fairly odd to have given him his own series and honestly, quite pointless.

@VILTRUM234
Skottie Young isn't the artist.

It's a comic about a talking tree that only says "I am Groot".

How much point do you want?

What happened to that user named "Groot" or "KingGroot" or something like that?

I guess he got tired of writing only "I am Groot".

I don't see the issue people have with "childish" art. Come on that's the best!

Isn't Groot supposed to be super smart? Why can't he say more than 3 [frick]ing words?

I'm actually looking forward to this. Marvel has some decent comics that are comedy comics. Not every comic has to take itself seriously. I think this book temporary replaced the rocket raccoon comic until secret wars is over unless this book sells really good.

And it is almost impossible to get a hold of any back issues.

Hopefully they get a good creative team behind a new Dr Strange series as the hype for the film builds.

Wow, this is stupid, and NOT just b/c it's about Groot, who says nothing.

The character can only 3 words, and in the movie his tone and expressions make it seem realistic that he's expressing something w/those 3 words. In the comic, we're already deprived of one of those two things (tone), so what does the artist do?

Draw him with the same stupid grin in EVERY photo.

Talk about a total lack of storytelling.

Yeah...this is a BIG "skip it"!
