COMICS: Scott Snyder Talks BATMAN: ENDGAME

"This is the Joker saying [to Batman], 'Come with me, deep down I know that you don't want to be human. You want to be immortal, legend, forever. And Batman rejects that.'" And with that rejection, Joker is seriously reconsidering his relationship with the Dark Knight.

The fallout from Joker's new origin is causing all types of problems for Batman in Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's Endgame.  With the Joker seemingly a neigh-immortal like Vandal Savage and Ra's al Ghul, is there any hope that Batman can save Gotham from the Pale Man?

"Endgame really changes everything. You'll see it reflected in every Bat book." If you're a Batman fan, you need to read Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's "Endgame," the current storyline that continues in today's Batman #39. And if you're reading "Endgame," you're going to want to watch this DC All Access clip featuring Snyder, in which he discusses what's up ahead, the inspiration behind the story, and which villains he may be tackling next.

Batman 39 was great.

Anyone who thinks Joker is immortal doesn't understand Joker.

Also Capullo drawing Bane was great to see.

Scott Snyder is the best writer out there at the moment.
Can't wait to see what he comes up with.

Making him immortal is just a dumb way of saying that's how he got his face back. The retards should have never cut it off in the first place.

@ScarletVendetta

I disagree about Joker not cutting off the Batfam's faces.

The whole DOTF arc was for the Joker to tear apart the Batfam but revealing a secret that he knows who the family is. Throughout the arc, Joker asks well kind of nothing like Joker. He's all serious but with that finale. He [frick]s with Batman's mind thinking he successful cut the faces off his family. Joker did everyone for one huge sick prank on Batman.

When DOTF ends, none of the Batfamily are talking to each other. They are all on their own and don't wish to see one another. Joker won. He didn't need to cut off the faces of the Batfamily to win.

Doesn't interest me in the least. The issues are mediocre as hell. But seriously, not a SINGLE freaking article about Agent Carter's finale!? Brilliant episode.

We don't know for 100% if Joker is immortal so stfu haters.We must wait and see the end of this story.I think this is some trick because we clearly saw a Joker as Red Hood One in Batman Zero Year comic also from Snyder...

@Omega

If you read Zero Year, the Red Hood that fell in the vat of chemicals may not have been the leader. Days after the Ace Chemicals showdown..

"A few days later, police discover the body of the assumed leader of the gang, Liam Distal, stuffed into a barrel of lye. The lye dissolved the better part of his remains, meaning there was no way to tell when he was killed and placed there. Bruce surmises that the Red Hood Leader he encountered was an impostor and had killed Distal and taken his place, but there was no way to confirm it or know when the impostor murdered Distal. It could have been months prior to the event, or the two could have switched out during the leader's attempted escape by helicopter."

@LEVITIKUZ The guy who fell was Red Hood One,he was the future Joker,but this guy probably killed real Red Hood leader before of the events from comic,and he took his mask to became new Red Hood leader.

@Omega

Correct. The guy who fell into the vat is Joker but we don't know how long he's been the Red Hood 1. Was he Red Hood 1 before the comic started or did he began being Red Hood 1 that night?

Hey, I've got an idea...let's take something that was cool, steal someone else's idea, smash it together, and completely take a royal crap on the entire history of an iconic character.

Sounds great.

@Scarlet Vendetta,wait to the end of the story,i dont think Joker is immortal,this is some trick.We saw Joker in Zero Year...

@LEVITIKUZ You can clearly see that in entire comic it was the same guy,height,chin,teeth,style of the dialogues,the way he behaved,everything he said to the Batman(even in ACE when he guess that this guy in suit is the same guy that he fought before,but he evolved now).

Snyder add this Batman dialogue about possibilities who this Red Hood was to add some mystery,because is too obvious that Red Hood One from entire comic is one and the same dude,and he probably became a Joker.

Im sure that Joker killed real Red Hood Leader before events in that comic.Or maybe he is Distal and real Red Hood Leader had different name.

Oh and i forgot,at the begining of the Zero Year Red Hood One said that he loves blimbs,this is a hint for Joker fans.Because Joker loves blimbs too.Even in previous comic from Snyder,"Death of The Family" Batman was talking with bat family about his fights with Joker,and one important for that story was fight on the.....blimb :D

"or the two could have switched out during the leader's attempted escape by helicopter"

This option is wrong too,because before that we saw half of his face and his green eyes filled by fascination when he first time saw a Batman.So he was Joker,then he tried to escaped(no switiching) and then was his last fight with Batman and he fell ino the chemicals.

So like i said,he was a future Joker from the begining to the end of comic.
