Via DC's The Source blog, we have our first look at the variant cover for Batman #7, drawn by Dustin Nguyen. In this issue, which releases next month, the Court of Owls storyline continues as the Court prepares for its most deadly attack yet. “While reading Scott Snyder’s script, there was an act that really stuck with me,” Nguyen told The Source. “It was a scene where Batman was mixed with pain, fear, and shock. I thought that was a powerful moment in the issue and decided to base the cover off of that moment.”

I've been loving this series so far. It's definitely the best Batman story I've read in a very long time, and the last issue (which came out last week) just proves that the series gets better with each issue. I can't wait to read the next issue. Check out the solicitation for Batman #7 below:

Batman may have survived the Court of Owls' first strike (barely), but even as he recuperates, the Court is preparing to launch its most deadly and sweeping attack yet. Plus: The secrets revealed in this issue will change Batman's world forever! You won't want to miss the issue everyone will be talking about!

This is probably the worst of Nguyen’s covers. They're usually pretty good, but this one is completely disproportionate.

Not too impressed with this image... Poor anatomy and I doubt its done in real water colors, Im betting Photoshop plugins
BUT the story is GREAT. Snyder and Capullo are KICKING ASS

It has a dynamic look to it that is rarely seen in comics. Its not realistic but that's not what the artist set out to do (at least I believe that). It's far more fun then another random image of Batman beating up a group of guys.

That's definitely not the best of Dustin Nguyen (I love his art), mainly due to the unfitting size of the head, I think. The rest are actually fine, but that fault is a major blow.
